Before I go into my complaints about our experience tonight, I want to say Bamboo is our go to Asian cuisine restaurant, and we always had previously felt appreciated by Jeff and the management team. We like Bamboo so much that my wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner, and regularly will drive 40+ minutes each way from our place in the city to eat there. We chose to go there tonight as we are expecting a baby in 5 weeks, and are trying to enjoy our relative lack of responsibilities.
We are always impressed by the food and tonight was no different.
Tonight, the service (or lack thereof) ruined our dinner. Given the pandemic, we fully expect things to take longer being short staffed, but the service each table gets should at least be consistent. Yes, tonight was slow but a non-issue.
When we got to the table we felt profiled as not deserving the waitresses best effort (or frankly any effort).
Our server (#9 according to our bill) treated us differently than all other customers she had in a few ways:
She expected us to box our own food while she did not do this for all other tables. She was not busy, we were her last table of patrons seated (it was no where near closing time) and there was no line at the door. Given my wife is obviously pregnant, an extra half ounce of effort would be nice and not have her box the food
The waitress practically ran to the bar when another patron asked for a mai tai, but it took 5-10 minutes to get duck sauce. Why is helping another table more important than us?!
She cleared other tables plates between appetizers and the main course, but not us! We got to eat off our used plates.
These combination of events showed that we are second class citizens to her and the establishment. I really hope Jeff, the owner, and team works to improve service levels to match the quality of product that comes out of...

Review:
We recently had the pleasure of dining at Bamboo Fine Asian Cuisine & Sushi Bar with three other families, and it was a truly fantastic experience. From the delicious food to the vibrant atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations.
What we loved:
Exquisite Cuisine: The menu offered a wide variety of Asian dishes, from classic Chinese favorites to innovative sushi creations. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Amazing Cocktails: The cocktail menu was impressive, featuring both classic and signature cocktails. Each drink was expertly crafted and perfectly balanced. Kid-Friendly Options: Even the pickiest eaters in our group found something to enjoy. The kids were especially delighted with the flavorful and fun options on the children's menu. Spacious and Elegant Ambiance: The restaurant was spacious and elegantly decorated, creating a sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for our large group gathering. Attentive Service: The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that we had a memorable dining experience. What could be improved:
Noise Level: With a full house, the restaurant could get a bit noisy, making conversation slightly challenging at times. Pricing: Bamboo is definitely fine dining, so be prepared for prices that are a bit higher than your average Asian restaurant. Overall:

Read moreWent here on a Monday night.. Really dull atmosphere.. only one other table was occupied. Monday night, we thought. We should have turned around and walk away.. cz that was just the beginning!
The hostess was not at all welcoming.. almost disappointed that we showed up. I looked at my watch.. it was 8 PM (one hour before kitchen closes).
The service was pathetic! They served water once and never bothered refilling or asking if we wanted more. The food arrived and yet they had not even handed out the silverware. We helped ourselves from the counter nearby.. n they call this a fine dining place!
Worst part was the rude replies the hostess threw at us when we asked her to take way the empty plates to make room for more. I get that it might be a busy night for a single hostess serving the two tables, but snarky replies were unexpected and uncalled for. It just went downhill from there.. the food had mushroom when we’d told the hostess that we’re dining with a kid who has allergies.. the hostess grumpily replaced it without apologizing even once.. We were not even expecting
Really disappointed, will never go here again!
Advice to others: avoid this place if you feel unwelcome in the first 5 mins.. it will only get...
