This is one of my favorite locations to shop at I come here weekly to this location or surrounding, but I have never had an experience like I did today. Yes I was doing last minute Christmas shopping and had a cart of items I was looking to purchase. I always come and purchase numerous items from this location/this store in general because it has great products for great deals and that’s what keeps your business rising. I work in customer service, but I have never ever had an experience like I did today which I typically never write bad reviews if I ever have one or experiences but today was just a whole level of just unpleasant, and down right rude customer service. I get people aren’t always the nicest for holidays, but my sister and I came in tonight to shop and I had a return and I asked the cashier if if it’s easier, I can do two different transactions or if he wanted to do the same one it was up to him. whatever is easier. The responses from this cashier were unnecessary things you shouldn’t say to customers . Some of his responses were that he was tired and just wanted to go to bed and I was like yeah me too. We all have those days and then saying that he thought he was gonna have an easy check out and slightly frustrated that there are two transactions I had clothing on top of other products just to kind of space out the counter and he was like oh you’re trying to hide products And I just was flabbergasted with his responses and then he turned around talking to a coworker and eating while I was sitting there with the cash and change for my almost 400 dollar transaction on the counter to pay which again I totally get everybody has bad days and I also have shitty days as well but I never speak like that to guests at my restaurant as well as any retail job I’ve had in the past. It’s just really uncomfortable and it makes you feel shitty because I can shop elsewhere but I always choose to coming back to one of my favorite locations. But after tonight I will not be returning. He was absolutely degrading when it came to his ongoing comments about him complaining on wrapping glass items, which he didn’t. Overall it was a...
Read moreI am very unamused about my experience at this location today 5/12/2022 at approximately 6:15PM. I was racially profiled by a Caucasian person with short hair as well as an Asian presenting woman who wore a pink mask.
I was at this location today, and I was searching for new business casual clothing as the weather is becoming nicer out. I have 11 items with me to go to the dressing room. The woman at the dressing room says only 10 items per room, I say no problem at all, because I quite literally had 0 problem with it as I’ve been to a TJMAXX and Marshalls before and this is normal protocol. As I finish trying on the ten items, I come back and hand the dressing room attendants 3 items, as I liked the other 7. And I was going to walk out, as I forgot about the last item, and the attendant reminds me, and I’m thankful as I wanted to try on the last item. As the attendant hands me the last item, I ask them where to put the clothes I’m interested in purchasing and they said on top of the table that stores all of the numbered tags etc. As I drop the remainder of the items I’m interested in at the location they told me to, I receive another new number tag and walk to the dressing room. As I walk into the room I remember I wanted to try on a cardigan that I put in the pile I was intending on purchasing. BOTH attendants look absolutely stunned: they are counting the items very meticulously and comparing the items to the numbered tags and chatting amongst themselves about me. I was racially profiled and assumed to be stealing by them. I had my large work bag with me as I finished working and went straight to this store in hopes of running errands before heading home and they were literally staring at my bag like I did something wrong….
After this, I checked out ALL of the items I was interested in, and told the cashier about what had happened. Do better Marshalls, train your employees not to racially profile. It’s not hard to be a decent...
Read moreOn my recent visit, I tried on a dress that had a sweater attached but it had a different price tag than the dress. The dressing room attendant, Karen, told me not to worry because it was the price displayed on the dress and that she will address fixing it if I would be interested. First of all, I don't have good luck finding clothes that look good and feel comfortable, but this dress was perfect! Cream colored sundress with pockets and the white sweater added the perfect touch. After I tried it on, it was a no-brainer; I was getting that dress, and with the sweater marked down "free" to boot! When I told Karen that I was interested, she called for a manager and gave her the scoop. Unfortunately, the manager, Julie R., said they were sold separately; the sweater wasn't the same size as the dress. Someone must have placed it on the wrong item. Karen asked if there was another sweater the same size as the dress and if I could still get the deal; she knew they were sold as one item. Julie said she would look but could not guarantee anything. Gratefully, Julie found one and I was able to strike that deal! I'm not a big shopper, but I was thrilled to get my hands on this and thankful that Karen helped me out. It really made my day!
One more comment, I'm part of the reward program, so I get email notifications for "Early Bird" specials. Now, thanks to Marshalls, I started a new tradition; I take my daughter along and we have...
