Mitchell's Ice Cream (Westlake Shop) — Restaurant in Westlake

Are the two brothers nutz.. the founders of mitchells first opened the original westlake location. It had tables, ample parking and was very inviting. The converted cozumel restaurant is a disaster.. the lack of parking creates a line of cars going out onto detroit road.. thats not dangerous at all.. they dont even have a drive through. Why would you move from a space with seating and parking to one without?

It seems like the company is leaning towards this concept as

The westlake original location closed It had seating and parking.

The southpark mall location closed.

It had ample parking and seating.

The strongsville location is tucked back by the police station with no parking and little seating

Rocky river

No parking very little seating...

Shaker hts

Definately no parking very little seating

Beachwood ample parking and seating but the location isnt large enough to handle the business

Do you do market research..? Me and my friend saw the line first turned around... then said forget it this is dangerous and stupid. Lets go to a DIFFERENT ice cream shop.. you lost customers to that location Probably forever... I mean lets see shall we

When you imagine a little ice cream shop in a suburb, this is it. However, there was nothing generic about this ice cream. I got tiramisu flavor, wife got chocolate chip cookie dough and daughter got banana cream pie. Most of the time, these flavors are enhanced with a lot of sugar and very little of the advertised flavor. My tiramisu literally tasted like the actual cake in ice cream form and the same with the other two flavors. I loved the banana cream pie and that's not even close to being my favorite kind of pie. So if you are in the Cleveland area, this place is worth the detour. The only reason we even stopped by in the area was because of the Panera's next door. Pictured in my photo is the tiramisu cone. Also, the establishment is roomy and clean and the young ladies working the counter are very pleasant. Nothing negative to say about this place. Also have tables...

Im struggling to give this place a great review. Im a classic ice cream guy. I like my vanilla, my black cherry, my rocky road, my moose tracks, even my wild and crazy cheese cake ice cream. You arent going to find those ice creams there. For me personally, mitchels is a total flop.

With that said, my wife and son absolutly love this place. Its a, for a lack of a better word, gourmet ice cream place. they have a multitude of ice creams you probably wont find any where else. After I get past the fact that I cant get my classic favorites I realize that mitchells makes a really good ice cream. As an added bonus, their staff is friendly and...
