Banh Mi Saigon is my favorite banh mi shop! I've been a long-time customer for about 10 years now. I've tried other banh mi places but nothing compared to the taste and value of this place. Every time I've gotten banh mi and Viet coffee from here, it's always been delicious! The bread is good---crispy and flakey on the outside (when right out of the oven, which they usually are) and soft, fluffy and slightly chewy on the inside. I'm vegetarian so personally tried the vegetarian banh mi and the fried egg banh mi and both are amazing! I just really love how they flavored their crispy pickled veggies to have just the right mix of tangy, salty and sweet. Their mayo is so good too! Every ingredients just come together to make a delicious banh mi! My carnivore friends love the banh mis with meat fillings so it seems you can't go wrong with any of the banh mis here. Also, they have some of the cheapest prices, even for the Little Saigon area (which is cheaper than anywhere else). If you buy 2 of the round banh mis with fillings (each costs $3.50), you get 1 free!
The coffee is just barely sweet enough to make it smooth and addicting yet still has the signature strong potency of Viet coffee. So good! And it's only $2.75! I guess the only thing they could improve is have larger sizes for...
Read moreI accidentally come across my new favorite banh mi place. I got their grilled beef sandwich on a round baguette and some egg rolls and sponge green bread to-go. I can just talk about their baguette on how perfect it was. It got that nicely toasted outer layer, then airy inside, with bread still being moist. Saigon bakery may surpass French in baking that perfect baguette. I never saw the grilled beef option at other Vietnamese sandwich place so I was curious. The beef patty inside reminded me of hamburger patty that's flattened with sweet, almost teriyaki like seasoning. It blended well with rest of vegetables inside. At first I just wanted a bite for the taste since I have an actual dinner in less than hour but I couldn't just stop there. I'm just glad I found this gem and I will definitely going back for more. And the cashier girl was...
Read moreI discovered this place by accident. I visited the nearby Vietnamese Super Market and saw lines of people outside. I decided to give this a try. I bought a pork sandwich and a baguette. Both were excellent. I even drove about 30 miles round-trip to buy baguette and sandwiches today. The baguettes are freshly baked. There were so hot that I had to hold the edges of the bags to bring them back to the car. The outside is crusty and the inside is soft and fluffy. If you are in Westminster or Garden Grove areas, drop by and try the baguette. The price is also very reasonable. Highly recommend. BTW If you like pork liver pate, this is the place to get some. Unlike pate that is in a can, this is made fresh. The texture is not as smooth as the one from a can but this taste quite good. Perfect for putting it on a baguette for breakfast in...
