If I could give this place 0 stars or worse I would, unfortunately 1 star is the lowest I could give it. As soon as we walked in, the elderly woman in black clothing asked us, "What to eat, order quickly." We ordered 3 bowls of spicy beef noodle soup, 2 to eat in the restaurant, and 1 to take home, and a bunch of banh beo which we ate there. The old woman continued to ask, "Order what to drink". My friend said, "Just water". Then this person turned and said, "The water here is not free, they only sell bottled water". We then ordered 2 cups of longan. During the meal we heard from the staff sitting around us, saying that we were wearing wigs but we had just came back from dyeing our hair and stopped by to eat. We didn't say anything and still paid with a normal attitude and left. We still left a tip even though the service was horrible. However, we forgot to pick up the third bowl of spicy beef noodle soup and left empty-handed. We came to eat on Sunday 08/01/2021, around 6:30 pm, they close at 7:00 pm and we were on our way home, while our house is a 1 hour drive from the restaurant. We had to call back on Tuesday because they are closed on Monday. I don't know who picked up the phone, but I asked if she could check the bill that day. I paid by card so I had my card number that I can provide, so she could find it easier but she told me to wait and went to the kitchen to ask if there were any spare bowls of spicy beef noodle soup that Sunday and she said there weren't any bowls of soup left behind. She left me on hold again and asked, "Do you want to leave a phone number or not, but the kitchen said there are no spare bowls". I said, "If you want, you can take my card number and check it." then she left the phone again and put me on hold a second time. I don't know if it was the same person or not, but the attitude was completely different. This person said, "This is your fault, there is no compensation here, but if you say so, then come and eat to make up for it." I told her that we lived an hour away so we couldn't just stop by and make up for it. She replied with, "There is no return card payment here, I don't know how to do returns". I said, "It's not worth much for a bowl of beef noodle soup, no one wants to cheat you out of a bowl of spicy beef noodle soup. I just called to see if you could refund my bowl of spicy beef noodle soup that we left there, because we live so far away from the restaurant. If you don't want to pay us back, it's not worth the trouble, not to mention that your staff's attitude was horrible." And then she said, "Ok bye and hung up". I paid $62 including tip for all of my food, even though I didn't want to leave any money because of the poor service of this restaurant, and what I got in return was the lack of professionalism and contempt for...
Read moreBest mì Quảng in town! They have the most authentic mì Quảng that we have ever had so far in the US. Their mì Quảng does not have a lot of soup (exactly how it is served in central Vietnam) and the flavor was on point, coupled up with the full toppings and fresh vegetables. Yummy! I also tried their Combo Bánh bèo, bánh lọc, bánh nậm and it was really delicious; however, bánh bột lọc was thick so it was hard to chew. I like their fish sauce and the crunchy pork rinds on top were just perfect. My mom tried their Bún bò Huế, and she liked it as well (however, it could be quite salty for a lot of people). Their flavors just hit so many spots.
Their parking is spacious, although some specific spot can be narrow (typical in California so we don’t mind). Waiting time can be long and they have a long waiting list. The only thing we didn’t like was the small space within the restaurant. It was a bit too crowded and all the tables were close together as well. Their service felt a bit rush since they were busy, but things just felt hasty.
Overall, I would still recommend due to the...
Read morewith over 9000 restaurants in this area it's hard to set yourself apart from your competitors.
first off price it's a little pricey compared to the restaurants around here. I mean it's still cheap compared to let say american foods but I mean when there's like 6 dollar rice dishes across the street or 4 dollar pho, setting spicy noodle soup at 7.50 and vietnamese tamales 7 dollars for 8 pieces is a little steep.
To be honest, i came here because it's been a while since I had Vietnamese tamales. there aren't many places that sells it so + 1 for that I guess.
2nd The food is on point. It's not bad, but definitely not the best.
We ordered Bun Bo Hue (spicy noodle soup ) and Banh Nam (Vietnamese Tamales) and Mi Quang (Yellow Noodles) it wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special.
Some of the best Bun Bo Hue I had is either made from my mother or in San Diego.
The tamales tasted like how my mother made it. and the Mi Quang was okay. I had better.
Definitely an OKAY experience but not the best. I...
