I work nearby and come in often. I decided to write a review since so many people nowadays only put out negative reviews because they hate their life and take good places for granted or the wannabe âfoodiesâ who canât prepare cereal but think they know food because they watch âMasterchefâ and âDiners, Drive-ins, & Dives.â
Iâve picked up food here by waiting in line and using the companyâs app. Regardless of which way I get my food, the staff is always smiling and kind and works hard to get through a lot of people as quickly as possible.
On a recent experience, I ordered via the app for pickup because Iâm lazy. Thatâs who the pickup order feature for the app is made for: People who are too lazy to stand in line or those who think they can circumvent the wait by clicking some buttons. I saw the line was long, and a few people were waiting for pickup orders like mine. I was there before my order time and patiently stood behind other folks. In the fifteen to twenty minutes I was there, I saw two people prepare about thirty different items just for those of us who had ordered online. This included about a dozen bowls for one person (see previous comment about who this app is for)!! That doesnât include the numerous orders the three people in the front constructed for the line that stretched to the door, which they handled with more grace, generosity, and patience than most of us could muster.
When I got my order (which may have been a bit after my pickup time, which is reasonable considering how busy they were; I didnât check the time because my parents didnât raise me to be a self-centered putz who thinks Iâm the main character in everyoneâs story), I asked the gentlemen named Anthony if this was normal, especially that large order. He informed me that it was, and especially on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, they get hit with orders like that regularly. I kindly thanked him and went on my merry way to inhale my bowl hunched over with a spoon as if I had never seen food before (Iâve seen some of you eat when I dine inâŚdonât shame me. You do it, too. Itâs delicious).
These folks work hard and hustle to feed many people, and they do it with a smile and kindness despite having to deal with humans who can be insufferable.
So next time it takes a little long to get what you want, remember, the world doesnât revolve around you, Karen. No one cares you have to be somewhere in fifteen mintues, Kyle. Learn to budget your time better. Say âthank you,â and leave them a lovely review and a kind word because they have to deal with you people, and they donât say what many of us would like to. Instead, they smile and wish...
Read moreCame in for a pick up delivery order. Person at the register was helping a customer. She asked me what the name for the order is, then asks her colleague to check on it. He proceeds to walk up and down the line, vibing to music, ignoring his colleague and me. A few minutes goes by, and then he comes and asks me what the name for the order was, like he just snapped back into consciousness. He talks to the kitchen staff, who were standing around chatting. Then he comes back to tell me they dont have steak ready and they need to cook some... it took me 10 minutes to get here after getting the order, then stood around for 5 minutes before they started the order.. This all could have been ready if the employees were actually doing their job. Cook stopped making the steak multiple times to talk and dance around to the music they were playing. No sense if urgency or respect for my time.Incredibly frustrating... wasting my time is wasting potential money that I could be making. The person that seemed like the manager kept stopping the employees to talk about their out/clean work instead of urging them to serve the customer (me,) which shows they dont respect me at all... they just care about getting home.
Heather on the register was great. She was the only employee that was actually attentive and kind. She deserves a raise for having good work ethic.
EDIT - It took 27 minutes to get the food once I got to the restaurant. 10 minutes to drive here, which means they took about 37 minutes to complete a to go order. I will actively avoid picking up orders from this location in the future as its a complete...
Read moreI would recommend Cava to anyone, but not this location. This is our local Cava, so we've been coming here for quite a while, and the service has gotten progressively worse and worse. We used to order takeout online but stopped doing so because our order was always either wrong or missing items. The staff used to be really friendly and helpful, but over the last year or so, it's gotten horrible. The staff working at the front is consistently incredibly rude. I have overheard people ordering in front of me who are obviously coming for the first time essentially get burated for not knowing what every item is or how to order their meals "correctly." When I went in today to get lunch for my partner and me, I watched one of the staff members roll his eyes at a woman when she asked what was in one of the dips. Thankfully, I knew what we were ordering already, so I didn't have to have the experience of getting belittled while doing so. When I checked out and paid, the woman working the register never offered me a receipt, and when I stood there for a moment waiting to see if I could have a copy, she literally thumbs-upped me to go with an irritated look on her face, instead of saying anything to me. I'm not saying you have to be super friendly; we all have bad days, but borderline horrible customer service is not okay. I think we're going to start making the trek to a different location. This one has disappointed us far too often. That being said, Cava's food is great, but I wouldn't say visiting this location...
