This review is for the banh mi (sandwich) and Viet coffee. We came by on weekend day at lunch time and saw that it was empty...that should've have been our clue to skip this place. But because of (the misleading!) high ratings, we wanted to check it out for ourselves. That proved to be a huge mistake!
Both the banh mi and coffee did not have the traditional flavors and did not taste good. The banh mi tasted more like an average American sandwich with lettuce, tomato and onions and did not have any of the specific ingredients that make a banh mi shine like garlic mayo, pickled veggies, cilantros, jalapenos, etc. The bread was kind of stale too. As for the coffee, it tasted like milk tea that has a very slight hint of coffee flavor. Not anywhere close to the unique and delicious taste of true Viet coffee.
