If you’re in South Florida and craving hearty pub-style food in a laid-back, no-frills setting, Flanigan’s is a local staple you shouldn’t miss. Known for its iconic green exterior, sports bar vibe, and generous portions, Flanigan’s delivers a consistently satisfying experience across its many locations from Miami to West Palm Beach. Atmosphere: Flanigan’s has a fun, divey charm that blends a neighborhood bar feel with a beach-town energy. Expect dim lighting, walls filled with sports memorabilia, and TVs broadcasting whatever game is on. It’s casual, a little noisy, and perfect for groups, families, or grabbing a beer and wings after the beach. Food: The menu is a mix of bar favorites and surprisingly solid seafood. Their baby back ribs are legendary—fall-off-the-bone tender and slathered in a tangy, smoky BBQ sauce. The Joe’s Rockin’ Rib Rolls (a rib-meets-eggroll mashup) are a must-try appetizer. Fans of fish should go for the Dolphin Sandwich (that’s mahi-mahi, not the sea mammal) or the grilled salmon, both fresh and well-prepared. The portions are large and prices are fair, especially considering the quality. They also have great daily specials, especially during lunch and happy hour. Drinks: The drink menu is classic and affordable, with big pours and a solid beer selection. Try one of their signature green cups—Flanigan’s signature souvenir you’ll probably take home without meaning to. Service: Service is friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. Staff seem to know the menu inside and out, and they do a good job even when it’s busy—which it often is, especially on weekends. Final Verdict: Flanigan’s isn’t about gourmet dining—it’s about comfort food, cold drinks, and a place that feels like a second home. Whether you’re a local or a visitor looking to eat like one, Flanigan’s is a quintessential South Florida experience

My husband and are were visiting from another state. We sat at the outside bar twice and 1x at the inside bar area. The first day we had Chris and he was awesome!! The second time we had Jillian and she wouldn’t speak to me or make eye contact with me. My husband asked if there was a gluten free menu and she said no. Then he asked her for the happy hour menu and she relied that there was nothing gluten free in there and didn’t give it to him. A little later when she finally came back outside my husband asked her what her name was then all of a sudden there used to be a GF menu and she spoke to me and made eye contact, but only after he asked her what her name was. We put a food order in and kept waiting and waiting and she never put it in for us. Taylor came and was nice and retook our order for us. The next time we came the girl was nice, but service was extremely slow and I felt like we were being over looked a lot. We ordered the famous award winning ribs without the sauce for me because the sauce has gluten and I can’t have it so we got it on the side for my husband. The ribs were burnt and not good. I was very disappointed and didn’t even eat them. As a person who has worked in the restaurant industry as a bartender and server I am not impressed with the service at this restaurant establishment. The outside bar is heavily neglected. It’s dirty, sticky, drink cups sitting all over the place, and it takes so long to get served when you sit there. I think a few of the people that work here don’t care because they automatically get a gratuity added the ticket. People don’t smile a lot or look happy to be working here. The main two that smiled and had good attitudes were Chris & Taylor. If you have dietary restrictions go somewhere else.

This place is often crowded and for good reason. It is a great chain restaurant with good food. We came on a late Friday afternoon and we were lucky to be seated in less than 30 minutes. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and when we were seated, we had a waitress at our table right away to take our drink order. We were happy that Flanigan’s has finally added more choices of IPA beers. We had their AIA IPA and what a great beer. It was served cold and in an ice cold glass. We ordered their full rack of ribs and their Flanagan’s burger. Our food came out quickly and prepared exactly as ordered. The meat came right off the ribs and their Flanagan’s burger was prepared, medium rare as I ordered and was perfect. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. And you have great choices of sides with meals. This place which is similar to their other locations has a welcoming atmosphere and comfortable booth seating and is not loud which makes it easy for conversation. They do offer many TVs to view anywhere you sit to watch games or anything that may be playing at the time. There’s plenty of parking in this parking lot. And very easy to drop somebody off at the front and drive to look for parking. Great family restaurant and a great place to come with friends. They also have a bar that you can sit and enjoy food or drinks. This place has always been a great choice for lunch or dinner.

I have been to several Flanigan’s in the past so am pretty aware of their standards. Today was easily one of the worst experiences I have had food/service in a long time (if not ever). We ordered a chowder that was completely tasteless/bland and had to send back. Bear in mind, i was coming from a bike ride and was starving which should give you an idea of how inedible this was. We also ordered the fish special (mahi) which was blackened, but given the filets are cut so thin was very dry (something as easy as cutting a half portion with double thickness could easily avoid this) That said, the absolute worst part was the fact that we were seated close to the bathrooms, and unfortunately one of the employees spilled what must have been sewage on the floor next to our table and along the path to the bathroom area as they were walking to and from said area (still unclear as to why). The stench lasted for a good 10-15 minutes until they applied cleaning products (bleach) to clean and mask the odor, but by then several of us were nauseated To complete this colossal mess, the manager who was instructing the employees through the cleaning process, approached our table as we had a look of disgust to ask if there was anything wrong. We expressed very decently what had happened (we had small children so didn’t want things to escalate), and his reaction was “i dont smell anything, its just bleach” to which we replied “ that is true but not what we experienced over the last 10-15 minutes ( which he was obviously aware of). He then proceeded to ask in a very condescending tone “do you want to eat for free or take something off the bill” he later realized that wasnt was this was about and offered to cut the check in half. We were fine with the offer, and he proceeded to take the bill. Upon his return, he did provide a discount but of only half what he had previously offered and again said in a very poor tone “well, i hope this makes you happy” as if he was doing us a favor. Furthermore, he basically blamed everything on the employees lack of education and stated “thank god their going to college” Bottom line Flanigan’s, this type of behavior is unacceptable to anyone and particularly paying customers. Will definitely not go back to this location but this was such a poor customer experience i had to share as you can see i seldomly blast any establishment but this...

I went to curbside pick up, I called before placing the order they told me 15 to 20 minutes. I only ordered fish dip, I don’t know if anybody is aware but the fish dip does not have to be cooked. But I understand the 15 to 20 minutes because there are other people and I’m in line. So that was not a problem. 15 minutes later I arrive, curbside was very nice came over to the car took my payment I gave him a tip (more than 20% )and another 20 minutes go by. So I get out of the car and I ask one of the people doing curbside what was going on. They told me they were working on the order it would be up any second. 10 minutes later Jimmy the manager comes out and offers me something that I cannot eat, and then he offers me peel and eat shrimp and tells me to come back the following day which would be Saturday That they would have the fish dip and I would be taken care of. So he gives me some Peel and eat shrimp! I get home I open the box and there is no lemon there is no cocktail sauce It looked so unappetizing I couldn’t even eat it ! I still go back on Saturday, (call Jimmy on the phone, the manager) tell him I’m on my way and he knows my name and my number from Friday I sat in the parking lot for 35 minutes he never came out he never put the order in! I never got reimbursed for Friday and I still have not received my fish dip. I have been in the restaurant business my whole life and I have never Experienced anything like this. It doesn’t even deserve one star but you can’t write a review without It. Very disappointed and I believe they need to get their act together or soon that restaurant will be out of business if that’s the way they perform

I would like to update this review, at the moment, I cannot think of his name. ( I wish I could, because he deserves to be recognized) one of the managers fixed this situation for me without any questions asked. I did not have to wait, and he personally took it out to my car and apologized. You would think “it’s only fish dip,”but when you wait two days and you pay for some thing and you don’t receive it and the GM of the restaurant does nothing, it’s very upsetting. But the manager took great care of me and I am a happy customer again. I just wish I can remember his name so he can be recognized. Thank you...

Initially, I discovered Flanigan's from a google search looking for a seafood dinner. Calling Flanigan's a seafood restaurant may be a bit of a misnomer, considering the abundance of non-seafood items on the menu. With that said, what a blessing that I had the opportunity to eat there which I will outline as follows:

  1. Staff: Our server introduced us to the menu in great detail, running us through the specials and deals. She expressed genuine interest in where we were visiting from and clearly had a lovely relationship with all of her patrons whether they be first-timers or regulars. She even took the initiative to give us a discount that came with the hotel we are staying at (which we did not realize until in direct conversation with her). Not only that, but the person who brought our food out also made pleasant conversation. It was an entirely welcoming environment thanks to the fabulous staff.
  2. Souvenir cup: Maybe this sounds silly to some, but I must mention it because it means a whole lot to me. If you order a fountain drink (I got lemonade), you are given a LARGE souvenir cup with free refills. Something about taking the experience home with me just feels right.
  3. Price: I genuinely cannot figure out how this restaurant makes a profit with the unbelievable quality and prices. I got a steak, loaded baked potato, side Caesar salad, garlic rolls, and a drink for about $18 thanks to their special. It was delicious, with the steak cooked exactly to the temperature I requested (medium rare). With my family of 4 ordering similarly, somehow our bill was less than $80.
  4. Ambiance: The crowd had a lovely mix of young folks and older folks, regulars and newcomers, and a full restaurant yet short wait times. The inside decor (including strings of lights and beer koozie streamers), the TVs with every sporting event imaginable, and the outside patio that overlooks water provides a venue fit for any occasion you may want.

What more can one ask than cultivating their ideal dining experience at a place with fabulous staff and suspiciously affordable, delicious meals. I...
