The Kebab Shop — Restaurant in Westpark

Maybe I just have high standards for kebab but I was sorely disappointed by this place. I got a beef wrap that was absolutely massive, so if you like large portions you may like this place, but it definitely seems like they value quantity over quality. The meat was incredibly disappointing and colder than I expected. I guess they just weren't doing fresh meat the day I was there. The bread was okay, not as bad as the meat, just ok. Veggies were good, and the pickled onions were a much needed source of flavor. The sauce was lacking in flavor and I barely even noticed it was there. The inside of the restaurant looks like every other trendy fast casual restaurant in Irvine, bland and boring. Service was great, the workers definitely deserve a raise (especially if they need tips on a $14 kebab wrap).

Just had to update. I have been anywhere loyal customer since my first review 2 years ago. I had to update with a recent experience on November 1st. I went in after 1pm to grab a late lunch as usual and noticed one family ahead of me and one customer using the self order tablet on the other side. Shortly after I was in line, a few more people showed up. There were 2 people on the hot line and one young lady at the counter. I immediately noticed she would jump from register to register to ensure guests were being cared for as quickly as possible, then she would swing into the hot line when her line was clear and help out. She did this back and forth the entire time I was there. Talk about multi-tasking with a smile. She was efficient and had amazing situational awareness, all with the greatest smile. Review on September 13, 2020: Pretty good but a little pricey.

Review on September 19, 2020: Scratch that! If you want something healthy that tastes delicious, then this is your spot! It's worth every penny! I am for eating better now that I'm in my late 30's and this is my second time coming here and getting the beef and lamb combo! Last time though, I got it with Saffron rice and salad, but this time, it was with the rice as well, but I changed it to have the falafel instead of the salad. You will not be disappointed in choosing to go here for dinner or lunch and that's putting it lightly! Talk about an understatement hehe!
