(10/2020) - Moved to Wethersfield two years ago and though we have our 'regular' pizza place, we haven't found 'the one'. We've ordered twice the first week we tried them and I'm sold. Grew up on Long Island and though I enjoy New Haven style pizza, I love NY style. Terrific crust. Sauce is light, like pureed tomatoes than a thick sauce. This last time we tried the 'everything' pizza (sausage, pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, peppers/onions) and it reminded me of my favorite pizza from home.
Pizza also reheats as well, if not even better. Throw a slice on a pizza stone for 3 minutes at 450. Online ordering platform is a plus.
(1/13/21) - Continues to be my preferred place to order our weekly pizza! Lately, we've been trying out some of the specialty pies. The Shrimp Scampi is buttery goodness! Read moreTrying and searching for delicious pizza is one of my favorite hobbies. I always get just plain cheese the first time around to get an unadulterated experience. I'm very happy to say that aside from Frank Pepe's, this is the best pizza I've had outside of southern CT. I would actually prefer Stella's over Sally's (disappointing in both New Haven and Wethersfield imo). I had no idea that wethersfield had pizza this good to offer.
Unfortunately, so many pizza places use low quality or flavorless cheese, but Stella's doesn't. This is fantastic pizza. But it's not just the cheese, the ratio of sauce and bread to cheese is perfect as well.
The only thing keeping this from being S tier pizza is the oven. If only they had a brick oven with wood fire, their pizza would be truly elite. However, I understand that may not be feasible due to how expensive and high manitainance brick ovens tend to be.

I enjoy thin crust pizza more than thick crust so please keep in mind I am a bit biased. Cheese is melted, gooey, greasy, and delicious (quite possibly the best cheese I’ve ever had on a pizza). The toppings are high quality and actually taste like what to be expected! I thank you for reminding me of the pizza I’ve tried in New Jersey, reminding me of my childhood.
