Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Weymouth

I’ve been going to this Dairy Queen for over 35 years and the women that have worked there though out the years have been so nice, the kids too. They literally made the memories for thousands of locals for decades now.

Tonight I threw in the towel. Nothing about this place is local or customer friendly anymore.

Ever since Covid they have had this ridiculous single line order window for a clientele that required all THREE windows to meet demands from dusk till close. Management has abandoned physical customers needs to make room for lazy out of town Door Dash orders. Now people sit in this ridiculous single line that stretches around the building just so some bum can order 9 things for the family from his/her couch.

Then they put some untrained poor woman to make ice cream and she spends more time looking at the order screen like a deer in headlights than making anything. I had to leave after paying tonight.

Like 40 people sitting in the lot already paid waiting for their orders while there is a line of people around the building waiting to order. I’m looking at this empty “pickup” window and then this door dash window with one guy waiting, and this new hire staring at the order screen and I said fk it and walked away. What a sht show it’s become.

I will never even consider going there after 3 pm again, and to be honest I’d rather just go out of my way to starland and order there. I don’t like rewarding bad business. It might be a longer drive but at least I can sit in my car and enjoy my ice cream without feeling like I just had to wait for a Disney ride.

This was my worst experience at a Dairy Queen in my entire life. My boyfriend and I stopped there. We both got blizzards, I got some caramel something blizzard got strawberry cheesecake blizzard. He got a lodge and a quarter of the way through eating it. He noticed it just tasted like vanilla ice cream. He shows me what’s in his ice cream and it’s just vanilla ice cream. There was no strawberries or cheesecake bits inside the blizzard because whoever made it put the vanilla ice cream in as well as the strawberry and the cheesecake pieces, but did not mix the blizzard cup completely on the mixing machine. We went back up to the window and the Young lady said what’s wrong with it we showed her. She asked what is the problem we showed her and she proceeded to say and I quote are you kidding me? You already ate most of it. I said to her no he did not eat most of it. I said look at what’s left in this cup that is 3/4 full. I said to her it’s all vanilla ice cream. It was not mixed together to make a strawberry cheesecake blizzard. She took the ice cream back, then came back to the window with a new blizzard made and said in front of everybody screamed here, sir. Here’s your second blizzard! Unnecessary comments to a paying customer who got ripped off with the first blizzard. Needless, to say, the 2nd blizzard had ingredients that weren’t in the first blizzard. So, I will not visit this location ever again. The girls there are rude and need to be trained again on how to make a blizzard. I’ll just continue to go to my usual Dairy Queen in Quincy. Note to self don’t visit the ice cream shop off...

Tonight my daughter and I , went to Friendlys for dinner……..It was absolutely horrible!!! Mind you w the intentions of getting the “Friendlys ice cream” after our meal! That certainly wasn’t happening after not only our awful svc but also our meal was about as good for the trash can! After going out w the intention for great ice cream after (esp our LOUSY MEAL) , I thought, I’ve had Dairy Queen , Weymouth a few times this summer and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! So I decided that’s where we were headed after leading Friendlys! After arriving, Sarah absolutely deserves to be recognized because she went all out for me!! My craving for ice cream is about to be satisfied and again, Sarah was absolutely amazing!! Sarah deserves for sure, to be recognized for the ABSOLUTE BEST CUSTOMER SVC AND WITH A BIG SMILE WHILE WAITING ON ME!!!!! Thanks SO MUCH Sarah!!!!! Much Appreciated!!!!!!! We will be back for sure sooner than later! Thanks...
