My husband and I stopped into Cabot House looking for a few pieces of furniture for our bedroom that we had just redone. Though the pieces were very expensive, we both liked them and decided to splurge. It took nine weeks to arrive and when they did, one piece was chipped on the foot. We decided to keep it because they had guaranteed that they would fix/make the damage up to us. Well, it has been over two months, and they have done nothing to make the situation right. So far, we have received some paint to have their technician touch the chipped leg up with but have not heard anything on when that will actually happen....two months? 6 months? maybe a year from now? We have called and emailed numerous times. If they are not going to fix the piece, then they should replace it, or just give us some money off on part of the price of the piece. We have asked but they have given no response. You would think this would be automatic. I feel like I am dealing with Wayfair but I am beginning to think that Wayfair would have handle this better. Maybe if we were a well-known interior decorator from the south shore, then they would make an effort to correct the issue but just being a blue-collar customer who splurged on something they thought was going to be extra nice, will not give us any attention. Will not return and do...
Read moreI purchased this sofa on the recommendation from Cabot House sales representative! When I originally viewed and ultimately purchased said sofa I did have concern about the Velcro and what your employee said to me is the Velcro allows the cushion to be easily cared for and fluffed for personal preference.
I would have never purchased this sofa if it was not for Cabot House recommendations!
To have been in contact and have been advised this sofa reupholster in vinyl will be $1,300.00 and leather they have told me to go out and purchase a new one, as it not an easy fix or worth the cost. They advised me to contacted Hammock & Moore / Cabot House to bring my issues to the attention as both are very highly recommended and high end furniture design, engineer, manufacture, nevertheless sell a sofa with such an obvious design flaw!
Cabot House denies any responsibility for this occurrence. This is not something that is covered by any warranty. You might consider contacting a local upholsterer who can replace the velcro. My apologies, Dan Kelly Cabot House Store Manager,...
Read moreWe re-discovered Cabot House a couple of years ago when we bought a new house on the South Shore. While we had found Cabot House too traditional for our taste on previous trips, we started working with Pam Miller at the Weymouth location and she has made us into Cabot House converts. Pam listened to what we were looking for and worked very hard to identify good options - things that weren't necessarily in the showroom - to fit with our style. So far she has helped us with our casual dining space (custom table and chairs), an absolutely stunning foyer table, and a gorgeous rug for the home office space. While the quality of the pieces we have purchased is far better than what we have found at the more typical furniture stores, Pam is why we keep coming back. She's really great to work with. I really dislike furniture shopping, but Pam makes it easy. I highly,...
