NOTHING IS OVERLY SPICY OR HOT , UNLESS U ORDER IT THAT WAY !!! I Was Surprised !!! As Most Southwestern/ Mexican Food Is Presumably Hot n Spicy...THIS is Not The Case Here !!! In Fact , The Only Way Your Food Is Hot & Spicy ...is If U Order It So , Or U Ask For Hot Sauce & Add it to Your Food !!! So Many Different Menu Items...I've Never Seen Such A Vast Menu Selection!!! My daughter got to pick a place to get food for us. Great mexican food and atmosphere. We decided to call ahead to order and i ended up hanging up with woman i spoke with. My daughter called back and ordered. She had same issue as me. I item we ordered was a taco salad. Unfortunately the woman told us every taco there was and said it was not on menu. I yelled as frustration sat in and said look at your salads on menu its called a taco salad. Confusion was it was not mentioned Fiesta Taco Salad. Well because my daughter insisted on ordering from here she gave the rest of order. Was advised they charge extra to have things out on the side because of containers. I said whatever at this point to make my daughter happy. Asked for blue cheese dressing on side if salad the woman on phone said we don't have that. I said forget it. Well went in to pick up order and delt with a very nice young woman. I told her my name and she had the food right away. I payed with my credit card and left her a cash tip. I asked is there any blue cheese dressing? She went outback and came out with a nice size container of blue cheese dressing. I know ur probably wondering why five stars. Well the woman on phone vs the woman i delt with in person are 2 different woman. She made up for the incompetence of woman over phone. The food was packaged correctly. Everything was excellent. Yet the Taco Salad did not have the black olives. Also the shell was over cooked but good. Unfortunately i live roughly 25 miles away. So i did not call to complaint. My daughter lives much closer than i do. I will wait a few days to see if they respond to this review and maybe change my rating if not reached out to from the manager or someone higher up. Just a test to see if they read all this or just say ok we got 5 stars. Spent over 60 there on a few items. A couple chicken chimichangas. The nightmare Taco Salad. A kids cheeseburger. Just as a previous reviewer said, food was just food and nothing special to write about. However this review is for Monday 3/11/2024 6pm. Our waiter Juan C. was not so great. He mumbles and speaks softly, so we had a hard time understanding him. He got our drink orders wrong and also got one of our dishes wrong as well. I asked for the ultimate cheese enchilada and he came back with the shrimp enchilada. I’m allergic to shrimp and he insisted I gave the wrong order. On the menu the shrimp enchilada is below the cheese enchilada. May have been a miscommunication but as a server he should have confirmed the orders and spoke loud and clear. At first, I let it slide but he kept insisting it was my fault. Anyone with a food allergy understands how bad this could have gone. When we received the check, he didn’t void the shrimp enchilada and wanted us to pay. Plus we sent that dish back because it was not going to be eaten. Next time you’re at Ocho, don’t get Juan C. as your waiter. Definitely enjoy the food with a waitstaff with more experience.
