Updated Review: They tried to make it up to us by giving us the same deal for free. I wish I could update with a much better review, but I can only add one more star, and I feel like even that is too generous. After what happened last time, we opted to pick-up this time, and food was still not done when it should have been. We didn't have to wait nearly as long as the first time (20 min late vs. over an hour late). They also put BBQ sauce on our chicken which was supposed to be plain with no sauce. So, since everything was free, and we actually got all the food we ordered this time (although mistakes were made with our order), and we only waited an extra 20 minutes, I've updated my review accordingly. Likely won't be ordering from Papa Gino's anymore, mainly because the guy behind the counter was handling prepared food without gloves. We'll stick to our local family owned pizza places.
Original Review: Wish I could give 0 stars. My husband Jamie Conroy ordered dinner for our family last night 8/31/17 after a very long day. Our puppy was just recently put to sleep after suffering a life threatening injury. We REALLY needed a stress free night of take out. Ordered the Patriots Deal at 6:47PM. We were told our food would be delivered by 7:57PM. Called the store at 8:20PM to see where our food was. We were told it just came out of the oven and would be here shortly. 8:40PM, still no food. My husband calls again to say we'll just come get it and he's told it's already left the building. Another 20 minutes later, our food finally arrives by 9PM. It was over 2 hours after we ordered, over an hour later than they promised it would be delivered, and 40 minutes after they told us it came out of the oven. So our two grieving children didn't eat dinner until after 9PM! When we complained, we were told "Sorry, it's game night. We're slammed." as if we should have expected this to happen to us. We were all so hungry and emotionally exhausted we ate the cold, rubbery pizza and didn't even realize they forgot our large boneless chicken until the store was already closed. So not only did they not try to rectify the situation, they didn't even give us all the food we paid for! Our house is a 3 minute drive from the store. If we had known it would take so long we would have picked it up or ordered from somewhere else. I sent a complaint to corporate online so we'll see what happens. Maybe someone will reach out to us to rectify the situation after reading my complaint or this review, but I'm not holding my breath. If they do, I'll update my review with a better rating. So much for a stress free night....
Read moreI wanna leave this place a negative five stars. 8 out of 10 they mess up a delivery and then get mad at us when they do so. I can care less to order from here but my six year old loves papa Gino’s and the other location doesn’t deliver. I placed a order with someone that took 15 minutes just to order three simple items. I had him read back the order 4 times before he got it correct. Confirmed delivery name phone number and the total was 12 something with a coupon before 17.81
After 35 minutes of waiting I called back and they said there is no order waiting for pick up or delivery. Got disconnected called again. Someone picked up and was literally laughing saying nope nothing here what would you like. I asked what happen to my other order because my child is waiting on her food. He said it doesn’t exist. So again I asked why? I’ll come with my phone and show I called and stood on the phone and placed the order and he laughed. I asked so your going to say I’m lying and pretend it never happened? I’m gonna pretend it never happened.
I then asked to speak to a manager. The manager claims that was never said but he’s so sorry and he will fix it. He finds out it was saved as a different name and a pick up. He’ll have it sent out right away. He’ll waive the delivery fee. He tells me my total is 19 I said it was 17 before and with the coupon 12. He says that isn’t possible. All the time there’s a woman cursing and screaming in the background. He tries to fix it and she starts screaming that what is he doing and why the hell is he giving a adjustment and I need to just f&&@ing pay for my food. He tries to explain to her the issue and she starts screaming again she doesn’t care.
He tells me he rung me up for everything wrong and is sorry. I Asked why is she screaming if he’s the manager he tells me she’s the head manager. How does a head manager her name is Kathy by the way, scream and curse the customers?!?! How?!?! I get my receipt and food and everything is mis priced and not what I wanted. DONT HAVE PEOPLE WORK THERE WHO CANT RING UP SIMPLE ITEMS AFTER THEY HAVE REPEATED IT TEN TIMES AND STILL GET IT WRONG. People with anger issues shouldn’t manage...
Read morePlaced my order in advance. 240pm pickup time. Walk in at 239. I was told it’ll be another 10 minutes.
I then watched the lady make the pizza and put it in the oven. Was it forgotten about?
Why is the staff openly complaining about other customers calling and complaining they’re late. There’s more drama here than high school. I even heard some lady come out of the back screaming "if someone else touches this printer I'm going to lose it".
To the guy behind the counter, I see you wiping your nose with your hand and brushing your sweaty hair with your fingers, and then preparing food.
When I leave, she hands me the pizza and I ask if it’s the one I watched her put in and what’s the point of ordering ahead. She shrugged her arms and said “well the order before yours was over $100 sooooo”
Sooo what? They are more important? I spent $100 there last week.
It’s a good thing I have a pizza cutter at home so I can finish cutting the slices so they can pull apart.
Bottom line- if you aren’t going to spend $100, you don’t matter and...
