Pietra's gets 4 1/2 ⭐'s. The pizza is very good. I had the Special SMO with big pieces of delicious sausage that tasted like it was made in house. High quality mozzarella that stretched all the way across the table when I grabbed a slice and hand tossed crust that had a great yeasty flavor from properly fermented dough. The sauce added a tangy complement to the rest of the ingredients however was a little light but they were happy to bring extra for dipping. I wanted a salad but they were out of lettuce so I had the minestrone instead. There was no music and at times the restaurant was so quiet it had the ambiance of a library.

It’s been a while since I’ve been there and my first time back it was pretty nice that atmosphere was a little bit busy, which understandable it must mean the food must be good. I got the lunch combo which includes a personal pizza and a salad. The salad was great. The pizza was a little bit too crunchy for my liking, and it felt like it didn’t have enough cheese or sauce. Overall it was tasty. If I go back to eat there I would probably try something else off the menu and maybe they’ll surprise me. Oh and the fries weren’t the best if I’m honest.

Food: **best basil tomato sauce** spaghetti noodles were fat and fresh!!! Seriously good value. Dinner portion fed two of us once we added a side of spaghetti. Loved that it was a combo with salad or soup + drink. Service: Kind and attentive. She made sure to help us with dietary restrictions and answered questions about the menu. Atmosphere: comfy old booths throughout. Chairs/ tables in the middle. So thankful for low music so people can have a good conversation! We will be back!! Awesome local Italian place!!

VEGETARIANS BEWARE!!!! READ TILL THE END IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I don't know what kind of business these people are trying to run but they are defiantly not there for you as a customer!!! First we arrived and no one greeted us. My wife and I stood there for a few seconds as a couple waitresses walk past us and look at us. After feeling extremely awkward with everyone staring at us we decided to walk up to the register. We stood there a minute and a waitress walked up and asked if we had take out (one of the waitresses that looked at us stand at the entrance for a minute). After telling her no she said sit anywhere and walked off. We sat there a minute and she came back and took our order and walked off. We got our "salad" which was room temperature iceberg with a couple of pieces of tomato on top. After eating half of the salad (another waiter bused our table) we sat there for about 20-25 minutes and our food arrived. I orded chicken fettuccine alfredo $12.50 and my wife ordered their manicotti $11.00 (every Italian place gives you bread before the meal not them). My food was COLD and was very bland. No seasoning NOTHING! Just a piece of chicken on top of noodles and the alfredo sauce........ I would have been better off with getting it out of a jar!!! My whole meal tasted like it was a microwaved dinner.. and my wife's manicotti was so hot she couldn't eat it right away (not a problem).... BUT WHAT KIND OF ITALIAN PLACE PUTS TONS OF TINY PIECES OF SAUSAGE IN THEIR MARINARA SAUCE!!!!!!!!! She is vegetarian!!!!! It was not on the menu anywhere that they put meat in their sauce and we were never told there was meat in their sauce or that they had sauce options. After she pushed her plate away the waitress came up to check on us. We told her that she couldn't eat her meal because of the tiny pieces of sausage and she offered us a "credit" for our next visit...... we aren't even from Colorado!!!!!! After telling her we were from out of town she said and I quote "I'm sorry" and WALKED OFF!!!!!!!! We sat there for 15-20 minutes NOT EATING with our plates push away and she never came back. The restaurant was not busy might I add!! I finally got irritated and we got up and walked up to the register so we could leave (still hungry). The guy at the register was extremely RUDE! We told him there was meat in their sauce and we weren't told and he argued with us and instead of apologizing or offering some sort of compensation or to talk to a manager. He got defensive and continued to argue with us and back talk us(I've never been back talked by anyone at a restaurant). He acted like I was personally attacking him. And basically pushed us out by trying to charge us as quickly as possible saying things like "well this is how we do it". We've ate at tons of italian restaurants and NONE of them put meat in their sauce especially tiny pieces you can hardly see and if they do IT IS INDICATED ON THE MENU!!!! While talking to him I took a glance in the kitchen since it was open for people to see..... I was instantly disgusted.... I can't even describe how gross the cooks in there looked..... no gloves or sanitation concerns....... I understand that most people only write a review if it was horrible or really great. My wife and I work in retail and have managed companies we believe that customer reviews and word of mouth are what make a company or establishment so we try to always do the surveys and questionnaires to help out the employees and the companies. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Might I add we are in Colorado for our honeymoon came into town for one day and decided to have "Italian" what a joke!!! and if someone from that restaurant is reading this.... thanks for making this a memory we won't...

We came here tonight at about 6pm. Chosen by a family member for his birthday dinner. We were a small party of four.

It was about 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. At this time, it wasn’t a big deal because we were catching up.

They took our order another 10 minutes later.

THREE tables were sat after us and all received food by 7:10pm…. We had yet to even received our salads. At this point we were frustrated and CLEARLY forgotten about (in the middle of the restaurant right next to the other three tables). My partner asked about it and it was, “oh, well the owner isn’t here so we have newbies in the kitchen”. So am I to assume that they just tossed our order in the trash and decided not to make it?

When we finally got our food, the only enjoyable thing was the side salad. I ordered a Stromboli (which let me tell you… I have had infinitely better Stromboli’s at Garramone’s). I had a single slice of ham. A single slice of pepperoni. And a single slice of salami. Four bites from the middle of each piece and then all I had left was over cooked dough and melted cheese. The sauce… good lord, the sauce. I may as well have dipped my Stromboli into a V8. It was so watery I was dipping into literal tomato water. And that’s the same thing that came out on the spaghetti.

We were only offered drink refills once after our food was gone. We had to track down staff for a box and our check. $94 later and we left incredibly disappointed in a place that’s supposedly been doing this since 1964.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Garramone’s will knock your socks off if you think THIS is good...

I've been a customer my whole life, my father used to bring us here as kids and it has always been a great experience. That is until last night, I took my husband and my MIL to experience the Pietras experience.

We walked in and was told by Kitchen staff to sit anywhere. It took 10 minutes for Nikkye to bring us menus and then hovered over us for drink order.

Food was ordered and brought to table. Food was delicious as always. My problem came when it was time to pay the check. I gave Nikkye my card for the bill and she went to run it. Because I have bank notifications on my phone, I saw the check ran once but canceled then ran again but at a higher price. When she came back to the table, she said my card declined once and so she ran it again and it went thru. Problem is the total she ran was not the price of the bill.

She decided she wanted a 20% tip, canceled first card run because no tip was added. When she came to get card to initially run the check we had put a cash tip on the table, that she saw. But still decided to add 20% to the card run without my approval.

I took a picture of the receipt with total for food/service was $48 and some change. The amount ran on my card was $58.55 which shows further down receipt as a total with a 20% tip.

No manager to be found to correct this fraud/theft. So cash tip was picked up off the table by my husband and was not happy at all. Wait staff padding the bill is not appropriate and should be illegal, if not a...
