Wendy's — Restaurant in Wheeling

UPDATE REVIEW ON 10/06/25 MY MOM AND I WENT THROUGH. THEY MADE US WAIT FOR TEN MINS CAME OUT ASK WHAT OUR ORDER WAS WHEN THEY TOLD US TO PULL TO THE OTHER DOOR WHICH WAS FINE...BUT IF OUR FOOD IS GOING TO BE UNEABLE FOR $35 WE DONT WANNA GO TO THIS LOCATION ANYMORE! AND I PAID FOR FOUR SWEET CHILIS THEY ONLY GAVE ME ONE! I EVEN TOLD THE LADY WHEN SHE ASKED....THIS LOCATION NEEDS THEIR SHIT TOGETHER....BC THEIR FOOD IS STARTING TO TASTE LIKE IT...THE TENDERS I COULDNT EVEN EAT THEY WERE HARD AS A ROCK N THE FRIES WERE AS HARD AS WELLL I GIVE UP ON THIS ONE. I RATHER GOTO BENWOOD

First off I went through the drive through....My order included a JR BACON NO CHEESE BURGER WITH ONLY EXTRA MUSTARD, EXTRA PICKLES AND EXTRA ONIONS....LARGE SIZE WITH A CHERRY SPRITE AND AN ADDITION JR BACON THE SAME WAY....I'm not sure who the shift manager was tonight but she was very rude n trying to say i was a liar about my unedible food. She was trying to claim she couldnt hear with a "bad connection". And they been "busy" all evening so they couldn't have unfresh and hot edible fries and nuggets. Well i wasn't calling for my health. This manager was very rude and incompetent. Fighting over a large fry and four count nuggets? She was tryin to play dumb and act like she couldnt find my order through the Drive through. I came around 6:30pm-7pm. I wanted a BIGGIE BAG JR BACON THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE NO CHEESE, NO MAYO, ONLY EXTRA MUSTARD, EXTRA PICKLES, EXTRA ONIONS AND BACON. I WANTED A SECOND JR BACON THE SAME WAY. I DIDN'T RECIEVE WHAT I ASKED FOR AND I GUESS THATS WHAT I GET FOR NOT COMING IN THE FIRST TIME AND COMPLAINING I WAS TIRED AND WANTED TO GO HOME. MY SANDWICHES THEY GAVE ME INCLUDED A JR CHEESEBURGER; NO BACON ONLY PICKLES AND ONIONS. THE OTHER ONE WAS A JR BACON CHEESE BURGER. THAT ONE HAD BACON, BUT IT HAD CHEESE WHICH I DIDNT WANT ON IT. AND ONLY PICKLES AND ONIONS. My large fries were unedible. I picked out five that was hard and crisp burnt. BURNT. And my four count nuggets I couldnt even eat it was like they gave me the old batch and one was flat. How dare she trying to fight with a costumer on the phone about the wrong order that the customer got....

It's been awhile since I've reviewed a fast food restaurant. I ordered a Bacon Bourbon Cheeseburger from this Wendy's on Thursday 02/24/2022 around 2300 hrs. After spending $19.00, we went home and found the Bourbon Burger to have no bacon, no crispy onions and had one piece of meat with a little bit of bourbon sauce. Fries were cold also.

We took the burger back and went back through the drive-thru at approximately 2320 hrs. The drive-thru employees, both females, were rude with almost ZERO communication. I told them through the speaker about the burger and she told me to just pull up to the window. Without speaking to me, I saw the employees laughing amongst themselves. I was waved to the second window where they continued to laugh. The window opened and a female employee handed me a bag with presumably another burger as a replacement. After handing me the bag, they shut the window. There was no communication with me. No speaking whatsoever, no apology. Petty? No. Just listing the absolute terrible customer service and lack of employee etiquette that these individuals had. One appeared to be a manager of some sort.

I will not go back to this Wendy's and I wouldn't recommend anyone else in the area to eat there either. Go to a neighboring Wendy's and avoid the Elm Grove Store at all costs. This isn't my first negative experience, but this is one that prompted me to write a review and contact Wendy's...

Waited 18 minutes in line to order at the drive through.

Cashier at the window never once greeted me. Instead, she took my card, screwed up the order, started complaining over her headset that she was tired of being there and disappeared for 3+ minutes while I idled in my car.

Finally get card back- no thank you or receipt-pull forward to window-told that they are waiting on my chicken sandwich, can I pull over around the side and wait? Sure.

10 minutes-no response. Pull onto other side of building-wait 3 minutes-no response.

Go into the store to ask if they forgot about me. They asked me "did you have an order?"

Older woman says they are waiting on the chicken. She asks "do you want something else?" I said "No." She walked off, mumbling something at me under her breath.

Male who must have been the only worker who could communicate asks them."how long on the chicken"? They say "two minutes, at least." I tell the guy "I'll be outside."

Five minutes later, here comes my food.

Get the food home, it is cold, sloppy and tastes awful. I wonder if my food had some extra ingredients? The tape can tell for sure.

Do yourself a favor and go to Chik Fil A. It is fast, modestly priced, order is always correct, food is always fresh and hot and employees are so friendly.

Avoid Wendy's and her off the...
