McDonald's — Restaurant in White Bear Lake

Worst McDonalds I have ever been to. I am typically a night owl, so whenever I go out for a late night snack, McD's is usually fairly easy to obtain. Not at this location.

First, you have to actually order (which can take a while if you go through the drive-thru), takes them 5 to 10 minutes just to acknowledge you're even there. Once you order, you get up to the middle window (the first window doesn't do anything) to pay, they take your card and disappear for another 5 to 10 minutes. No idea where they go with your card.. in this day and age, probably to write down your card numbers.

After you order and pay, you move up to the last window to wait for your food. On a good night, you can typically expect it to take around 10 to 15 minutes. On a bad night? could take a while. Once you get your food, its soggy, soaked in grease, stale, the ice has melted in your drink.

This is assuming they'll even allow you to pay. If you come on the nights the store manager or asst manager isn't there, they won't even take your card, they'll tell you "we're only accepting cash right now". This is the only McDonalds I have been to at 4am where they only take cash in the last 10 years.

Avoid this McDonalds at all costs. I have been back multiple times at my own peril because the next nearest one is up on HWY 61 in White Bear Lake, and it doesn't open until 5:30AM.

If you go inside this McDonalds, you'll quickly see the employees have zero pride in their job, including the managers. This store is extremely dirty all the time.

Just a gross McD's. Stay away. I'd give it 0/5 if I could.

Hopefully they'll take this advice from a google local guide and heed these warnings before the health inspectors come in to shut...

Order wrong again. I go thru the drive thru 4-5 times a week. Always late at night after 10 pm today I came through at 11:50 waited 10+ minutes for my food. I understand it the rush before closing. I order it the same every time. Exactly the Same order it never varies 2 McChicken sandwiches with 10 pickles per sandwich always. The employees call me 10 pickles guy... I doubled verified to make sure it was correct. When I pay I verified for a third time. I leave and get down the road and have to then come back. I ask for them to remake the sandwich. The young man at the door was pleasant. He said I’ll have them remake it. Then he brings out the same sandwich. Now at this point, the sandwiches now somewhat not hot & not fresh. I can only assume they must want to get out of the store as they are now close. I like my food correct and fresh. It is the only McDonald’s near where I live. I have a choice to go here or 3-5 miles away to another location. I know these employees deserve better they have a job that is unforgiving. I know after a long day of customers complaining it isn’t easy. I get that!!! I don’t feel I’m asking too much. I don’t ask too much do I? Now that I have mentally relived myself and vented. The food was fantastic however, for 2 meals it cost over $21 dollars. U definitely can go to somewhere else & not pay that much for 2 meals. It was over $9 per meal. No dollar menu the help with the cost. We were ignored for a long time & when we finally got help there wasn't I'm sorry u had to wait. No greetings. Not welcoming @ all including the customer behind us. She was impatient & couldn't wait to get to the bk to make her commands. She didn't wash her hands before she handed us our food. By the time she finished with the customer behind us, our food was ready & so was theirs. Poor service. U walk in & there wasn't anyone @ the cash register. No smart. Anyone could've figured out how to open the register & taken the cash out. Atmosphere wasn't good. Felt like a burden to this lady. My first time dinning in & I was extremely disappointed.
