If you are stopping at the Indiana, PA store please expect to wait a long time for your food. I have never seen a whole store full of people that all move like turtles. Last week I put in a online order, it said 15 minutes. I waited a full 35 minutes. They only had one guy doing online's. The store was empty when I walked in, everyone was just staring at this one guy making a load of sandwich's. I had to ask them to hurry up so I didnt have to wait longer. I could have walked straight in the store and gotten out of there faster and thats ridiculous.
If you see a older woman (in her late 60s at least) just turn around and walk out. She is SO slow. She will just watch the cashier do their job even though her job is to top the sandwich's, like she so wants to "supervise" the process and tell them what to do, you can see her itching to say something, she wont even let them wrap the sandwich's she's made so that slows her down even more. She wraps them like she is wrapping fine china, so stinking slow. She wont even start on the sandwich's until she is done watching the poor cashier ring someone out. And then, she moves like she is under water. Boomers that are that worried about the "young ones" doing the job right should not work in a "fast food" place.
I watched the grill guy do one sub at a time. Today they had just opened, and a hot sandwich was ordered from someone in line in front of me. Grill guy started it. Another hot sandwich was ordered in front of me. Grill guy WAITED until he had finished the first sandwich before putting the toppings for the second sandwich on the grill. I watched him stare at the melting cheese from sandwich one, not moving at all, not starting the other customers sandwich. Who does that? Its not that complicated to throw meat on a grill, do you really have to do one at a time?
At the end of the day this is supposed to be fast food. The key word here is fast. For a company that charges almost 20$ for a giant sandwich you think they could pay their workers enough to move at a normal if not picked up pace. Either that or hire people that can do the job instead of standing around doing nothing while you, the customer, wait forever to be served and out the door. And dont get me wrong, Im not a Karen, but Im not going to wait 15 minutes while watching the workers just stare at me and not be angry.
Despite me enjoying the food its never a justification for me to stop anymore as I know it will always take at least 30 minutes. At a sub place. Thirty minutes... Order at...
Read moreFirstly, the staff is extremely friendly and inviting. I've never seen food service staff so zealous about their product, and it goes a long way.
Secondly, Jersey Mike's is about the only place in Indiana PA where you can get a real hoagie. Indiana and Western PA in general don't seem to understand or appreciate quality hoagies: Fresh products, a good role, thinly sliced deli meats and cheeses, olive oil/red wine vinegar, etc. It's not the most exceptional hoagie out there, but it's the best you'll get in Indiana by a long shot.
Lastly, as far as I can tell, it's the only place in Indiana that actually makes its "Philly" cheesesteaks Philadelphia-style.
Indiana has a lot of self-proclaimed sub/hoagie shops (looking at you 9th Street), but with the addition of Jersey Mike's, it finally...
Read moreFirst time customer. Got a 12 inch sub. Italian. And one drink all to go. Sandwich was mediocre at best. Was not worth $ 18.65. 3.09 for soda. They do not toast subs which totally adds to flavor. I personally won't be going back. They have you add a tip at register, okay I am fine with tips when someone is waiting tables or serving tables. I thought that was a stretch. So anyhow after paying for 1 sandwich and 1 drink and tip it cost $25.21. I won't be back. Subway is half the cost and has definitely more flavor. Not my kind of place. My first thought after this experience was you would have to be high to go back then it occurred to me the location. So there's that. I did request my sub toasted, gentleman nicely let me know that is not something they offer. If your told...
