Disgusted by waitress practice. Gave it 1 star but it YOU deserve NONE. Went to have breakfast today and after placing my order I noticed knife was dirty. When food was delivered. I noticed I didn't get my scrabled eggs. Server looks at her note pad. Takes my plate. I asked for a new knife because the one at the table was dirty. I am seated where I can see their station. I see her take my plate up then I see her return to wipe off the dried food of the the knife. She brings me my plate and gives me the same knife back. 🤮🤮😡😡 I place it away from me when I noticed she gave me the hash brown wich I clearly said house fries as they call them. When I looked up I could not see any waitress or waiters so I take it up. In scooting out of the booth I drop the knife. The new server comes and I tell her how girl took my order wrong and need a knife. I go to start eating and eggs are good. Bacon tasted weird so I stoped eating. It disgusted me to see the practice of this waitress and others were around and did not say anything. Or maybe did not notice. They need to hold cleanliness to a higher standard. Especially in these times that we delt with Covid. Norms please do better for our Community. We deserve a clean place to visit and enjoy ourselves. It has been said if places take time with details and cleanliness it will be successful. On another time I was there the bathrooms were gross too. For now I will not return. I dont need to pay yo get a bug or catch a virus! Also they play games as to when they will give Senior discounts. Not ok. Senior do not stop being senior. Money is tight this is more so for our Seniors where if and when they go they are helping the economy and also supporting YOUR establishment. Such a deserving to our seniors. Yes, their times when seniors discount is offered listed on their menu. But not all operated on your hours. Also in the wait time even though they have arrived at good time by the time ordered is delivered and eating is done then are told you have missed the the allotted time for the senior discounts. Please remember Their is a reason that they go out. Maybe they can no longer cook. Be nicer to our Seniors...

I use to enjoy Norm's Bigger Better Breakfast for $6.99 some years back. Everything was good.

But lately their hash browns don't taste like hash browns anymore. They use to have the shoestring cut, golden brown and crispy with a hint of a buttery taste. They tasted like potatos.

But now their hash browns have no flavor. They look like some type of processed mush cut from a sheet of immitation glob.

Now I pay $16.99 for poor quality hash browns. How did the hash browns go from real very tasty crispy potato for $6.99 to this immitation processed flavorless glob for $16.99?

Thankfully their pancakes still taste like pancakes. Please don't switch to cheap immitation pancake mix to save money.

Please bring back the real hash browns. Thank you.

As far as service it depends on the waitress. One waitress acknowledges you right away, takes your order and brings your food piping hot, and refills your coffee without me having to ask.

Other waitresses have me wait 5 to 10 minutes or so before they even notice me. When they finally do they take my order and after a long wait they bring my cold to luke warm food. At times I have to ask some other waitress for a coffee refill.

My tips will start reflecting how the waitresses serve me and the quality of my food. And I will not go with the standard 15 to 20 percent tip anymore. My tips will reflect on the service from waitress.

If a waitress gives me good to great service and my meal is hot and refills my coffee without me asking and it costs $18.00, I will give her a $5.00 to $10.00 tip.

If a waitress gives me poor service with luke warm to cold food and I have to constantly request coffee refills she may get 50 cents to $2.00.

It's bad enough that Norm's quality of food is starting to go down, but at least I can control who gets the good tips and who gets poor tips.

I hope Norm's brings back good...

Came in to have breakfast with my family. Signed in at 11:15 seated us fairly quickly within 10 minutes. That was fast and up to that I was satisfied however the waiter we got by the name of Yesika was extremely rude. Upon taking our drink order she said you ready? My husband said no we just received the menu can we have a couple of minutes and as she walked away she said well I’m going to put their order in first since you are not ready, my husband then said well in the meantime please put in an order of mozzarella sticks please. She said ok. She brought our drinks fairly quickly but by that time we were ready to order and we said we are ready to order. She didn’t say anything and simply walked away. My husband called her back and she ignored us. Within 3 minutes she brought us the sticks. She then took her notepad and started to take our order. I said I wanted a cheeseburger with fries. I said it comes with fries right ? Or do I have to order the fries separately? She rolled her eyes at me and said what do you mean ? You can order Tots or what ever you’d like with the burger. She gave me attitude and my husband just said I don’t know why your being rude but we want another server please. After that she apologized and walked away saying she will get us a new server. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting and decided to just pay for the sticks and drinks and go eat somewhere else that gives us better service. The manager did not charge us and said we’re sorry.
