I went early afternoon to eat my favorite burrito. Everything was fine until I felt a sharp pain in the back of my throat. After a few hours, my right tonsil was red and swollen. I shined a flashlight into my mouth and noticed a 2mm size sliver of wood inside my tonsil. Luckily I was able to fish it out with a pair of tweezers, but this will probably be the last time I visit VeraCruz. I absolutely CANNOT believe the experience that I had to go through just to get this thing out of my tonsil. I will be reaching out to management to hopefully see what went wrong. In the meantime, I will be staying away.

I find this establishment to be an excellent choice for Mexican cuisine, as everything on the menu is consistently enjoyable. The service, particularly from Fidel, is commendable, with prompt delivery of salsa and chips upon seating. Today's selection, the chile verde burrito, was truly outstanding, and it could easily satisfy two people. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a margarita or beer, along with a delightful and authentic meal, whenever you are in town.

I’ve been coming here for over 30 years (I’m in my late thirties), and this place has consistently been providing quality Mexican food made from scratch. You can taste the authenticity. The drinks are always on point. I came here today, and was recognized after returning from out of state from over 8 years ago! This is Mexican food you can get from your abuela. Not a food truck. This is home style nostalgia. 20/10!!!

I will be honest here, the food was terrible and I'm being nice. 4 different plates and they all were really bad. Now what's confusing is all the good reviews but sitting there i realizes why....most people coming in were white folk. ( NOT RACIST, just an observation) There was a lady there who took our order was great BUT the guy who served our food was RUDE!! We had a Carne Asada, but might as well be eating a chancla, The Chille Relleno was NOT relleno.. It was flat and flavor less, The Asada burrito was so dry and there was NO real salsa options and the Asada meat in the burrito was cooked meat, not Asada. The Huevos con Chorizo made my daughter renounce her latina side of the family. THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW!! My son loves eating out and we go to lots of places, this is by far the worst place...

Twice I have been here and had to wait for anyone to approach and welcome us. 09/20/15 Two men were off in the corner, talking while one stirred coffee very loudly. My Wife and I decided to sit ourselves and we waited longer. I decided to walk over and ask for help. The reply I was given, "I'll be RIGHT there." I asked if there was a problem? He replied "I'll be RIGHT THERE!" I went back my seat and my Wife and I waited longer. Still no service. No Waiter. Nothing. We decided to leave. Now I understand VeraCruz does have great reviews. I have not experienced anything that constitutes a higher rating at that place.

Let me tell you, we've been coming to VERA CRUZ over 38 years and plan to for many more years. When I read some of the reviews written on this site I felt that they came from a heart that was not happy before they went into the restaurant. No restaurant can always be perfect. The food here at Vera Cruz always t The very few times in 38 years we've had to address an issue it was resolved right away. The staff truly work hard to accommodate all customers, they are friendly and it draws our attention to keep coming back. Let not a few negatives of some influence you. Come see...
