Harbor Freight — Local services in Whittier

So today 11/19/23 around noon I'm in line with about 3 guys ahead of me and I over hear them offering customers a free item due to a sale or something. I have a phone number with them but not the card so when they didn't offer it to me I didn't think anything of it , So I purchased my item and end up having to bring it back due to it not coming with a battery, and I hear the free item being offered again so this time I decided to ask for the free item tht was just offered to the customer in front of me and the guy's response was "oh yes " and then offered it.....idk what the issue was and I don't want to believe it was a race thing , i really don't but idk what else to think at this point but either way it wasn't right...

This is the third harbor freight store i went into to get a advertised sale item. Going online was useless, none of the stores had what was advertised online! The woman at the la habra store said "don't use the website for what we have in stock. Don't you know you have to call us and check if we have it?" No, I'm new to your store and Your site says you have it! Wow I didn't think the 30.00 membership was worth it. I gave them my phone number when I purchased the tool chest but they gave no discount to me. Buyer beware! This Whittier store had the tool chest and helped load it for me the workers...

Low price tools! The majority of which have lifetime warranty so long as they are hand tools. Most of the electronic type tools are 90-day limited warranty. The employees here super chill and will help you find what you're looking for. Lots of people use this place as a tool rental place: Essentially buy what you need to get the job done and then return it and get your money back! Kind of screwed up but it's not against their policy lol. The line of tools by baauer: such as impacts & hammer drills and stuff like that, are actually pretty damn good, give Makita a run for their money @ a fraction...
