Original Roadhouse Grill — Restaurant in Whittier

Please dont waste your time or money at this expensive place. The food was awful and the alcohol drinks were worse. My husband and I ate here because he was curious about the place and wanted to try it, immediately upon walking in the vibe was off we weren't greeted at the door in the way a resturaunt would usually greet a customer, they just looked at us with confusion as to what we were doing there and it took them awhile to even acknowledge us and seat us. When we were seated I timed the waitress to see how long it would take for someone to introduce themselves at least, as our server and they took 10 long minutes to do so. We sat at our tables awkwardly with no waters or even knowing who our server was. I ordered a mixed drink named hillbilly punch which I'm pretty sure was just lemonade for $15 smh then I ordered a Moscow mule which wasn't a Moscow mule it was an iced margarita for another $15 my husband and I ordered the 6 oz steak he got mashed potatoes and broccoli, which came all In one plate, I ordered my 2 sides of cesar salad and Chilli cup and my order came 1 by 1 3 separate plates. The service was awful, the staff seemed to be gathering to gossip alot, the wait was unnecessarily long not sure why since the place was empty, but i understand why it was empty now. I paid $87 for a meal that would have cost half that at chillis. Don't waste your time. My husband and I left afterwards with the feeling of disappointment on our date night. We gave it another shot. Was here last week we live by restaurant and our service was awful we were told a new girl didn’t put our order in right so all wrong food came out and we were never asked for refills. When wrong food order did come out it sat outside in front of us for 10 min while they tried to figure out our order we were amazed at this. Anyways now 1 hour 20 min later we are told our food was re prepared and we ate. By then we were freezing and a bit agitated. We never even got offered a dessert. I spoke with manager and was told next time to mention him and he will take care of. So once again we had friends who wanted to go here so we took them on Friday 3/19. Got there at 7:25 and waited our 40 min to sit due to limited dining due to COVID inside no worries! Anyways finally ordered and once again our rib eye or prime rib and bbq chicken and grilled chicken took forever. At least 40 min. Waitress apologized. Food came and the two chicken dinners were horribly cold and grilled chicken was way burnt or over cooked. Waitress apologized and said yes I see. She did say sorry but kitchen is closed so would take off that meal. Unbelievable this was so disappointing once again. And I know this is a pandemic but seriously. We were never even asked for refills on drinks or bread during this time. But all others who came much later than us had all there food. Not sure if will be back for quite awhile. Such a shame! So disappointing. And we are pretty patient...

We went there yesterday at approx 5pm. We were a party of 9. The server came over after approx 15 min. She stood at the end of the table and since she was wearing a mask, it made it very difficult to hear her. She asked for our drinks, the sodas were brought out, but the 5 Strawberry Lemonades were not. We had to wait for them and then ask her if our lemonades would be brought out. She said she was singing happy birthday to another table and will bring them out shortly. When she did bring them out, she stood at the end of the table and had us pass the huge mason jars to each of those that had ordered them. A server should be walking around the table to give each customer their drink. Then our salads were brought out and again she had us pass the plates to the appropriate. We couldn't understand why she couldn't walk around to each and serve the plates. Our entrees came and there was a mistake and one of our entrees was not brought out with everyone's food. We were practically finished by the time the entree was finally brought out to her. We were very disappointed in the service we received. The steaks were not hot, they were luke warm. Sad to say this was our first time going there and will never be back. We hope that all establishments take these reviews into consideration to improve on what they...
