Uptown Pizza Company — Restaurant in Whittier

Not much more in price for a (real) great tasting pizza. Uptown makes great pizza, better I think than Brickhouse because Uptown pizza is a bit thicker and better tasting, they put plenty of real cheese on top, not like the stuff offered up at Domino's, or Papa Johns. It is better to call in an order and pick it up when ready, and enjoy at home or wherever, because the store has only two very small tables located right next to the pick-up counter, so not a place to dine in. Enjoy! Update 9/10/2019 Short and sweet. After craving pizza on a Tuesday, and remembering UP is closed today, I went and tried Jo Peeps. Suffice to say I'm changing my star rating of Uptown from 4 to 5. (IMO) the best pizza in Whittier. Update 8/15/2020: What on earth has happened to the quality? Yesterday was my 2nd order in a month and both times the crust seemed different ...more "bready", and kinda bland. I could always count on leftovers being as good as the first day after heating it in the oven a few minutes, but not the last two times ! The crust was like in a dampened condition..."mushy" is more like it, and not because of the tomato sauce since Uptown was never heavy on the sauce unless asked for. I don't know whether the joint is becoming another victim of covid-19, (eg. Different suppliers) but I'll maybe try one more time before throwing in the towel, because Uptown P has always been a quality outfit. Sorry UP, back to 4 stars....

If your review stated best pizza it town, grow up and stop using fake emails for fake reviews. First off I called to place an order for delivery and they said they were busy it's gonna be at least an hour. No big deal so I decided to place the order for pick up. I get there and they had no customers in the building, I didn't see any other pizzas baking when they opened the oven. I could of missed seeing one but no sense of "busy" at this point . I waited about 8 minutes total at the place which was about 33 minutes Total Time it took for me to receive my food. I thought to myself WTH why would it of taken an hour for delivery , When my house was literally 5 minutes away walking distance. I'm guessing it's Family Owned and they can do what they want. Ordered the trio appetizer and a salad with extra ranch, I didn't receive any ranch when one comes with a salad. I don't want to down talk the food with details but your better off going to Little Ceasars up Hadley , more bang for your buck I guarantee! Without a doubt the most delicious hole in the wall hidden gem in the neighborhood. Had my 1st taste of this delicious establishment & let me tell you it was most definitely without a doubt worth every dollar spent on my meal. Only downside was that the food is straight out the oven so you have to be patient on your order being cooked from after the moment you finish the transaction of paying for your order & them beginning it. Though it may take a patient moment for it all to be cooked & finished best believe when you smell it all & get that first bite in on whatever you may have ordered I guarantee it’ll taste absolutely delicious & still have the heat fresh outta the oven attached to it. Best advice is call in ahead of time & place your order over the phone in advance to arriving to pick it up so you don’t spent too much time waiting around for it to cooked & completed. Regardless it’s a definite gem hidden in the neighborhood that I would recommend anyone & everyone to try at least once & I promise you won’t be disappointed. I promise I’ll be a repeat customer whenever that urge for a delicious pie comes...
