La Sexy Michelada — Restaurant in Whittier

We were looking for something to eat along Greenleaf Ave. in Uptown Whittier and came across La Sexy Michelada. We were encouraged to take a seat anywhere in their outdoor dining area that is now located in the closed to traffic Greenleaf. We were greeted with a bowl of chips and salsa. I’m far from a salsa purist but I love a fresh great tasting rojo salsa with a kick and theirs did not disappoint. It’s the kind of salsa that makes you think, hmmm if this kind of detail goes into the salsa what else do they make this great. In the meantime we each ordered a tap beer. Pacifico and a Corona and they both came in a ice cold mug that was HUGE at least 20 oz. My husband ordered the Estilo Guerrero taco plate which was one of the most flavorful taco dishes I’ve ever had. I’ve had some fantastic tacos in my life but these were life changing. Like I need to eat these everyday. The tacos were fried and the filling with cheese and perfectly seasoned shrimp was so incredibly delicious. I ordered a carne asada burrito and asked for both their awesome rojo and verde salsa be added inside. It’s a good thing I had that big mug of ice cold Pacifico to help wash it down because it had an awesome kick with the additional salsa in it but sooo worth it. Prior to eating here we had not heard of La Sexy Michelada before as they have recently opened in Whittier with another location in Fontana. We can’t wait to go back and try more of their incredible food. PS. I had to ask for a few of their little to go cups with their rojo salsa to use at home it...

Bumped into this place by accident since the place we wanted to go to closed at 7pm but google stated 9pm. The owners were outside and asked if I ever been there and said we were from out of town. One of the owners said to have a seat and they will give us a sample Mixed ceviche tostada on the house as a sample. We loved it it’s a house sauce that they use that is like something I never had before. I ordered the campechana and gf the shrimp cocktail both with the house sauce!! It was very delicious and as well was a very full cocktail with shrimp and everything advertised!! The parking is really close and the a Michelada’s were very good! Will definitely go there again. Service was fast within 20 minutes of sitting we had our drinks and food already. The owner kept making sure everything was smoothly and the staff was excellent we even stopped eating to check out the lunar eclipse with most the friendly staff. Felt like family already. Will go again soon!! Definitely recommend...

It was our first time here & my Mom wanted to come to try the Oysters because she absolutely loves them. Our server was super sweet. Gave us excellent customer service and she was so cool to talk to. She also has such a beautiful smile. Love when people look happy at their jobs. The food was very delicious too. My Mom loved the Oysters. I tried various tacos. Al Pastor, Asada, & Chorizo. Gotta say the best ones are the Asada Tacos. Those were really good. The meat tasted just the way I like it and the red and green sauces were also really good. Maybe next time I go back I'll ask for less cilantro. But other than that everything was really good and yummy. I also had an Horchata drink. It tasted bomb! I love Horchata!
