Blue Pacific Motel — Hotel in Whittier

Manager and hotel seemed ok upon our arrival. Manager called to check on us after we entered the room to see if everything in the room was ok and if we needed anything.. However upon our check out a day later I left my boots in the closet and did not realize until about 7pm that same day. I called the hotel and asked if the housekeeper found them. The guy managing the front desk let me know that she did not write anything down as "found" and they were not listed in the lost and found items. He also stated that he could not check since there was another guest in the room. My husband and I then had to drive to the hotel and knock on the hotel door we were staying at and asked the current guests if they found them and he stated that he already turned them into the front desk when he checked in a little bit ago. I then have to go into the front office and talk to the same guy who just stated he did not know if they were turned in and I would have to come back tomorrow morning! He proceeds to tell me they are in the storage outside and he does not have a key and that I signed a paper stating that if I did not reclaim my stuff before 8pm I would have to wait until the next morning which would have been fine but I called and arrived before 8am. The guy at the desk continues to argue with me so I let him know I will just call the cops so that I can let them know that they are refusing to give me my personal property back even though i was within the guidelines of the paper I signed. He then starts acting weird and calls his manager the guy who checked us in on the day of our arrival. He gives me his phone and the mamager states " please do not call the cops I will be there in an hour and a half you and your husband are good people and I want to help you out." We waited over 2 hours for him to arrive and he brought his wife. When they arrived they did not look at us nor say anything. Then his wife tells us "how would you feel if I called you at 9pm to get my things back" I then responded with - First of all i called you well before 9pm and I would understand that you were calling me asking for YOUR belongings back regardless. Especially since my husband and I do not live here and have a 5+ hour drive back to AZ tonight. She then stated "it is not out problem were you have to go" her husband (the manager) then stated I only get one day off a week and I have to drive my 100,000 BMW down here and put more miles on it to give you your things. I responded with "it's not my that you only have one day off I week and I could give a Sh** less about your stupid car". They then both started yelling/cursing things at us as we were trying to leave the hotel to get on the road.. The fact that this so called manager even brought his wife is ridiculous. Your suppose to be a manager and you have to have your wife talk for you? I will NEVER stay here again and I honestly hope they get shut down for the uncleanliness of their rooms. They charge way to much for womens hair to be on everything sheets/pillows/walls and clumps of hair left in the bathtub with dirty/stained towels in the bathroom as well not to mention the un-professionalism of not only the employees but the MANAGER and is wife who needs to learn her place. She alone could ruin her husband's "business". I find it EXTREMELY weird that they reacted the way they did when we started we were going to involve the police if they kept refusing to give us our property. Makes me think something else is going on there that they dont want police snooping around in. I highly recommend sleeping in your car over this hotel room. Reading other reviews about this shity hotel just confirms that this place should be shut down ASAP!

Can't give negative star ratings but this place deserves 5+...

You know I was sceptical of staying here as it was always run down looking from what I recalled driving by it... But when I looked on line the pictures of the inside caught my eye so I decided to give it a try let me say this place is clean no hookers or dealers hanging around. My room is amazing clean ... I had a small bumb in my first stay but upon coming back I was pleasantly pleased once again this place is amazing. And staff were very accommodating. * 5 year update the rooms were disappointing dirty and not kept up. I was approached by a lady so high crying and her husband even higher threatening me if I help her. I had sat in my car for over a hour for them to leave and cops show. It was all bad very different then the other...

MY BOYFRIEND AND I STAYED THERE FOR THREE WEEKS, ROOM 101.WE CAN HEAR RATS THRU THE WALLS, AND COMPLAINED TO MANAGER.THEY DID ZERO.ALSO, WE FOUND THE MAID WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION IN OUR ROOM, AND ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS WAS MISSING.WHEN WE CHECKED OUT, THEY REFUSED TO GIVE OUR FIFTY DOLLARS DEPOSIT BACK.WE HAD TO PHONE POLICE, FINALLY DEPOSIT, BUT ONLY FORTY BUCKS, WAS GIVEN BACK.I SUGGEST TO EVERYBODY NOT TO GO THERE.THEY ARE RUNNING A SCAM, AND ARE SLUMLORDS.THEY ARE RACISTS, AND THEY HATE CAUCASIANS.THEY ARE ALWAYS TALKING ABOUT ISIS.BE CAREFUL AROUND THEM.GOD BLESS USA, AND GO WITH JESUS...
