I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a deeply upsetting experience I had during a recent visit to your IHOP location. I believe this issue warrants serious attention due to the repeated unprofessional behavior of a specific employee.
During my visit, the employee in question was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment I entered. Rather than assisting me with my order, she took a smoke break outside the store, visibly ignoring my need for assistance. When I attempted to place my order, she was dismissive and refused to complete it correctly.
What’s more disturbing is that in front of my husband, who was waiting in the designated to-go parking area, this employee referred to me using an extremely offensive and inappropriate term ("retard"). Such language is not only disrespectful but entirely unacceptable in any professional setting.
After the manager attempted to correct the order, the employee began yelling from the kitchen, aggressively questioning the manager's decision with, “Why are you remaking that food?” Her outbursts were loud enough to be heard at the front of the restaurant and disrupted my interaction with the manager. She continued to insert herself into our conversation in a confrontational manner, repeatedly raising her voice even after stating she would "just walk away."
This was not an isolated incident. I previously encountered this same employee over a year ago, and her behavior then was similarly rude and unprofessional. That experience led me and my party to avoid returning to this location for an entire year. Unfortunately, nothing seems to have changed.
What makes this even more troubling is that her aggressive and inappropriate behavior continued in front of other staff, customers, and even two police officers who were present at the time. It’s clear that this individual feels emboldened to act in such a way without consequence.
I sincerely hope this matter is taken seriously. No customer should be subjected to such treatment, and it is disheartening to witness this kind of behavior in a business that relies on customer service. I respectfully request that appropriate action be taken to address this situation and prevent future incidents.
Thank you for your attention to...
Read moreIt's been awhile since I've been to IHOP but this visit was a great experience. I'm afraid I don't remember our servers name, but she was very friendly and when I asked for advice on a bigger meal for my 10 yr old that was "bigger than a kids meal, but smaller than the huge sampler" she suggested my kiddo get the senior sampler plate (I never would have looked there!). It was just like the sampler plate but all the portions were cut in half. My daughter loved it and it was just the right size for her. The food itself has changed also - I've never eaten the hash browns at any breakfast joint just because they're too oily and I don't care for them. I always pass them off to my oldest daughter who doesn't mind grease in the least lol. I thought I'd try ONE bite though just in case they appealed to me somehow and wow. They were NOT the hash browns I'm used to receiving. I asked our server about it and she said they'd switched from using oil to using butter on the hash browns. It was absolutely delicious and for the first time I actually ate my hash browns. (Sorry kid!) The pancakes were tasty, but they've changed the recipe I think, and they fell apart on the plate more than they used to and unless I'm mistaken I think they're slightly smaller than they used to be. Maybe that was a fluke of this visit though. The prices were fairly high on the drinks - $3.19 for a soda, and my girls tea/lemonade were $2.59 each. So we spent over $8 just on drinks which is typical, but still painful. We'll go back to drinking water next time we go out, but for today this was a wonderful treat. I'm glad we went and would recommend this...
Read moreThe service at this particular location is very much below the level of good. My group of five were there for breakfast on Sunday 09/24/23. We waited for over 30 minutes just to be seat. Yes there were others waiting. When we were finally seated I noticed there were several tables available the would have accommodated my party. Which was a little suspicious. The staff was at best civil but not welcoming. My party had to wait for our food for over 25 minutes. I asked our server about 10 minutes in why the long wait, her reply was not acceptable. She told me she did not know why the food was taking so long, but they had a lot of orders. A simple, I will check on that⁸ for and let you know would have done a lot to improve this experience. Once our meals arrived the pancakes were cold. The dish I ordered was just barely warm. The other meals had clearly had been sitting for some time. My overall experience here was extremely poor. It appears that this location is being operated with very little oversite from its managing operator. The staff needs to have better communication between themselves and there guests. Overall not worth the wait. I feel like visiting this location was a waste of...
