Tree Service — Local services in Wichita Falls

Been talking to them about removing a tree in my backyard for over a week he finally called me back to set a time at the agreed-upon price. He arrived several hours after he said he would be there with no work truck Or crew to do the work that he had promised. Instead he called me and told me that he thinks he Bid the job too low and Would call me back in 10 minutes with a new quote… I understand the need to make money and that your time is worth money and I even understand that you may have underbid the job but to put the onus on the customer to pay several hundred dollars more than agreed-upon is very bad business especially since we negotiated the price weeks earlier. .... I was even willing at some point to meet somewhere in a middle ground due to the fact that I want the tree removed but I find his behavior more than a little unsettling especially since I had spoke to him several times during the morning to be told that he’s getting everything prepared and will be there shortly only to find out that he arrived by himself with no work crew ready to do the work he promised..... ... to give you guys some background he quoted this job after looking at the tree so he should’ve known as a professional what was involved in what he could safely bid… As it stands it looks like he wasted my time just so he can get me stuck and possibly pay him more money… Instead I’ll be lodging formal complaints With the Better Business Bureau as well as other avenues to include possible legal action. Overall I found his shady practices rather unethical (rebidding directly before he started said job), he lacked Integrity and personal responsibility/accountability....A bad mix all together I will not be referring them...

They had an opening right away and came over in a couple days. Work was done quickly but the branches fell on and crushed our flowers. When they left there was ground up tree trunk/root shavings all over where the tree was about 6 feet diameter . When questioned about it they just said, “it will go down eventually; just water it and stomp on it. It would’ve been nice if they left it looking like a yard, not a pile of shaved wood. ————————————————————————— Update: He called back and asked if there was anything he could do because he read my review that was two stars. I asked him to remove the sawdust because grass doesn’t grow over sawdust. He said “it shouldn’t make any difference.” In my opinion sawdust and dirt are two different things; grass grows in dirt not sawdust. Dirt has nutrients that grass needs. Plus that is what he and my husband agreed upon before the job.

He did come to remove the sawdust and filled the hole with dirt. Very cooperative and willing to please the customer. That gave him two extra stars so I give him a 4 star rating.

They prefer cash. I had to withdraw funds and pay cash. No voucher or official receipt from an office. He did send an email...

I was very hesitant at first to use this company based on the review rating. However after calling many other tree companies and not being able to make up my mind on a company to use I called Falls Tree Service for a estimate. They was on time unlike most of the other companies that actually showed to give me a estimate but also called with a ETA about 30 min's before showing. Which was actually great because I forgot we hand a estimate schedule. The price he estimated was in the middle price range of others but he explained to me how the job would be done. I told him I would think about and let them know. After about 3 day's I decided to go with this company for the following and disregard the low rating.

1: Was on time for the estimate. 2: Appearance was not business but clean 3: My gut something kept telling me to give this company a chance.

Well I have to say not only was I impressed with how fast they got the job done but safety was a big factor with this team of workers and that really impressed me. Watching the team communicating with each other and remove such a big tree over my garage was really cool. My yard was left nice and clean.
