Today was my first visit to Dutch Bros. We live right down the road so I was really excited as this place has a lot of hype surrounding it! The girl taking orders in the drive thru was so sweet. I know she had to be cold but she was kind & took the time to talk to me when I told her it was my first visit. After I ordered, I got to the window. I noticed there was a guy sitting on the counter while people made drinks, and lots of talking/laughing with music playing loudly. Wasn’t a fan of the dude sitting on the counter where drinks were being made but whatever. The girl seemed to be in a rush and hurried my drink out to me. The bottom of the cup hit my door and knocked the cup into my lap. I didn’t freak out, just asked for some napkins. She didn’t apologize for the spillage but I didn’t fuss about it, I know this location is busy! I finally got some napkins and while I was trying to clean myself up, she kept saying “Have a nice day!” I hurried to ask her if I could scan my QR code (I downloaded the app prior to my visit as I had assumed I’d be coming a lot) and she stared at me for about 10 seconds before finally saying, “You already paid.” in an irritated voice. I told her it was fine and decided to leave. I finally got to taste my drink and found it to be…extremely lacking. I ordered the Golden Eagle after recommendation from the kind girl taking orders. I was expecting a vanilla-caramel blend. What I got was milk with a hint of coffee. I had seen them pouring milk, which was fine, but they went too heavy with the pour. The price is great, but my drink was awful. Combine that with poor customer service? I don’t think I’ll be back. Such a bummer. I was looking for a new coffee spot since Starbucks is out of the way. I think I’ll make the trip there instead - at least I’m guaranteed a good drink and fabulous customer...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago I posted a review about receiving (what I thought was) dirt in my drink, but I deleted it after receiving follow-up support from corporate.
Today at the drive-thru I received IRL follow-up from who I assume is the MOD, the white brunet guy with a beard (I don't know names sorry) who clarified the presumed 'dirt' was food safe ingredients, not dirt, etc. I was really surprised he knew I even sent a ticket in haha. I think this specific employee/manager is the best part of the West Street location because he not only carries a very positive high-energy attitude to everyone, but I really greatly appreciate his follow-up and effort to go out of his way to make my concerns about the products "right" in my mind. I have been to every Dutch Bros in Wichita but there isn't any employee/manager that excels as much in a costumer-facing role as he does at West St - I think he "makes"...
Read moreNobody has time to wait 15 to 20 mins in line for coffee. 7:15 in the morning. I work down the street and barely made it to work on time. I thought you would hurt Starbucks, but they had a line around the building, you had maybe 8 cars. What is the purpose of making employees stand out in freezing weather so you can get to the window and wait 10 mins? The girl at the window trying to make awkward small talk is annoying. All I wanted was coffee and to get to work. Your system, though you may think it is like Chik fil A is not working. They have your food ready at the window after the person takes the order. It is coffee people. I should not have to wait another 10 mins at the window. Can we say unorganized? I will continue to support Starbucks, or even Scooters. Oh and I ordered hot coffee, so you didn't have to do anything special except some pumps of syrup...
