As someone who has worked in the service industry for multiple years, I understand that mistakes happen, and I would never fault a server for being busy. However, I would also never speak to a customer the way our waitress did at Oasis.

We arrived well within the happy hour window, knowing exactly what we wanted. Our waitress took 10 minutes to bring our sodas, coming back halfway realizing she had forgotten them. Which is fine and that’s not what made us react. By the time she brought them, we were just 4 minutes past the cut-off—but only because of her mistake. When we politely asked if she could still honor the happy hour pricing as we only came for appetizers, she rolled her eyes and snapped, "Can’t you see I’m busy?" She never once apologized, and we weren’t even upset until she gave us attitude for something that wasn’t our fault.

To make matters worse, she later lied to other employees, claiming we hadn’t arrived in time when we absolutely did - 10 minutes to spare. Whenever we asked her about honoring the happy hour she said “I don’t even know what time it is” where is the logic in her saying we lied about the time when she didn’t even know the time herself because she was so busy?!? Instead of owning up to her mistake or even just handling the situation professionally, she resorted to ROLLING her eyes in our face when we were speaking kindly to her. Her complete lack of professionalism will follow her through every job she works, and it’s clear she has no business in customer service. When my mom went back in to talk to the manager, she was standing at the front with another employee pointing at my mom saying, “there she is”. I thought she was too busy to stand around?? If we were to have stayed to eat, I’m sure there would have been spit in our food judging off her snooty attitude. Some people just shouldn’t be in this industry, and she is one of them. I would never lie about an experience, this is said with FULL integrity as business owner myself. I won’t be...

We came in after 9pm on Wednesday. It wasn't busy, just maybe 10 or less people. We weren't greeted by a waitress or waiter for about 10 minutes, maybe less. My husband finally went and grabbed menus from the bar. The bartender then came over and brought us water that my husband ordered while getting menus. She said she wasn't sure where the waitress was, and apologized. Once we did see the waitress, she never once spoke. Didn't come to the table or anything. The cook brought out our appetizer and then the bartender brought out our food. All was good, fresh, as usual. We seen the waitress a handful of times throughout our dinner but she never once asked if we needed anything, but then when we were ready to pay, she wanted to ring us out. The bartender told her no thanks, she'd finish us up. But then she forgot to take off the Groupon I presented. At this point, we were just ready to go. Bartender was so nice, but seemed slightly annoyed that the waitress was too busy to wait on customers. Or really, just us, seeing as how she helped the other 2 tables just fine. We were annoyed as well, as this is the 2nd time the waitstaff has been this way towards us. We're not regulars but we are polite and we tip well. Not sure what the problem is. But...as...

Still baffled at how a table of 7 people was treated with such horrible service tonight. A local establishment at that. After my years of food service I would be so embarrassed if I was that server. In 2 hours I only had 3 drinks. Ordered 2 as soon as we got there since it was 2 for 1's(time is 5:30), then took an hour to get another drink. Even if you're "new" to the serving industry, that was ridiculous. Had to call the bar after waiting 45 (time is 6:12) minutes for our server to come take our order. At around an hour (time is 6:30) of waiting she finally takes our order. Takes another 20 minutes for everyone's drinks to come (time is now 6:42). 7:15 comes around and we kinda want to go home. At this point we've talked to the bar tender asking for our food to come out or we're leaving without paying. I've also talked to the server trying to see where our food is at with no response from her. At 7:30 we finally decide to leave some bills (to somewhat cover the drinks)...

Locally loved bar and grill, just west of Maple and West Street. The Oasis opens early at 6AM for breakfast and booze, and offers a good menu throughout the day. Burgers here are famous, but the breakfast bowl is my favorite at The O, which has an outstanding combo of crispy hash browns topped with eggs, peppers, and a fine sausage gravy. The inside is a cozy setting that fits in a couple of pool tables, a shuffle board area, and a fair sized patio. This place is popular with many loyal locals so space can be tight at peak hours, especially in the parking lot which is equipped to handle only a portion of its guests, leaving the rest to park along side other businesses. Staff has had a variety of highs and lows throughout my experiences, but the morning crew has been great lately. Every Wichitan has to try The O at least once and I can recommend a trip here to all in the city.

They are open for breakfast at 6 a.m. and I love it the traditional breakfast is awesome and the breakfast shot is even better the bacon and eggs breakfast shot yum yum. However, the waitress and didn't know what that shot was and I learned of that shot from that bar so I I told her how to make it that's all cool not that big a deal is brand new. the thing that got me was she served my food and didn't bring me condiments or napkins or ask me if I need anything and then she meant 2 take an order I thought at another booth and I kept looking that I looked back at her like I don't know four times and she didn't respond like seeing that I obviously needed help and she wasn't taking it with her she was chit-chatting with the regular so annoying. But I've always had a good experience there in a good time so.

I tried the Philly Steak and found the meat to be dry with a hint of flavor. I would not recommend it at all, however my mother had the club, and it looked amazing, so I snuck a bite. The club has plenty of meat and flavor with excellent bacon. If I ever go back, I will be getting the club. The fries were the best part of the meal, they are handmade and huge as you can see. There was only one waitress for most the time we were there, and she was trying to keep up but was definitely overloaded with customers. It is very dark inside, so be prepared to not be able to see when you walk in from a bright sunshiny day.
