Fresh ingredients. We make everything from scratch except the ketchup. (And face it, you can't really improve upon Heinz's perfect blend, can you?) We only use high-quality ingredients for the burgers, fries, sandwiches, salads and one-of-a-kind sauces on our menu. Not only do we make our own homemade pickles, we found the market with the best cucumbers in Wichita to make them. And we can't forget the cake truffles. Mouth-watering. Cake. Truffles.

Fizz Burgers & Bottles is a local restaurant, family-owned and operated by Dave, Pat and Scott Bergeson that opened in November 2010. Scott has more than 20-years experience in the food-service industry, including time as manager of Bella Luna and the Hyatt Regency. Family member Carol Kreager creates unique, mouth-watering truffles as well as other special orders. And don't forget Stacy. I was excited to try this spot. I love me a good burger, and seeing all my favorite sodas all in one spot made me happy. That being said...the food wasn't good. Edible, but not good.

I asked for the American, with the garlic sauce. Just because I don't usually like lettuce and tomatoes on my burgers.

Before I even got to take a bite, there was so much liquid condiment the burger slid out, with an honest effort to keep it from doing so. I got a couple tablespoons of ketchup,mustard and garlic sauce on my hands, but there was still plenty on the burger when I put it back together. When I bit into it,it was hard, and dense. Like an overcooked cheap preformed patty that couldn't hold a candle to a frozen Bubba burger. I took 3 more bites, still dripping sauce from my hands, just to be sure. Yep, it was terrible.

Then came the potato salad. I'm usually a fan of mustard based potato salad, but this tasted like straight mustard with no other seasonings or flavors.

Cheerwine in a bottle was great though. Don't expect the young staff to know anything about the sodas either. I think I'm getting old. I'll probably still come back to try sodas and give the cook another chance. I really...

Yum!! Our whole family loved Fizz Burgers & Bottles! The kids had to start with Floats, but needed a minute when they saw ALL the choices! My hubby and I enjoyed some fun specialty sodas as well! Everyone can find something great from their huge selection! I tried to order the family-size side of fries for our family, but was advised that it fed 5-7. As there were only 4 of us, I downsized to the medium (spoiler: we still had fries left over when we were all stuffed and leaving). The sauce selection was awesome! I could eat fries and dipping sauces for a meal and these ones were excellent! The fries were thick cur, yet crispy, and not overcooked at all! So yummy! The family had variations of burgers for dinner and loved their choices. I had a spicy chicken sandwich. Despite it being a little messy, I loved it! It had just enough heat and the sauce was scrumptious! We love supporting local businesses, so when my daughter picked Fizz Burger & Bottles for her celebration dinner, I was very proud!
