Okay, let's see. Overall, pretty good food. Portions are a bit small but you do get a salad. This was our first time eating Korean food. Pretty good.
I'm mostly disappointed in that I was told "No" two times. I asked if we could get two half orders of different egg rolls and pay the higher price so we could try them both. Nope. So, we didn't order any. I think I was caught up in that and that is why I (think) I forgot to order the fried rice with mine. I may have ordered fried rice but couldn't remember due to everything else. Steamed rice came with my entrée so when I realized this and our waitress came back. I said that I should have ordered the fried rice. She smiled. So I asked if I could get fried rice and I'd happily pay for it. She said that the side of fried rice isn't on the menu anymore and that I would have to order the meal of fried rice which is over $8. No thanks.
We were the last people in there as we got there about 45 minutes before they closed. Our waitress explained the menu very well to us.
I ordered the spicy chicken, beef, and shrimp. There could have been about 20% more meat. It was good. It wasn't very spicy. Which is fine with me.
We wanted to try the seaweed rolls. But also get some egg rolls. We've never ate seaweed rolls before.
The three star knockdown was because they weren't so accommodating in what we wanted. I even told them that their menu wasn't online and I was going to take pics of it and put it online. So,...
Read moreI ordered the Pork Kalbi Bento Box with Miso soup and fried rice. Seeing the delicious food pictured and reading such rave reviews about this place had me with some fairly high expectations, I was unfortunately quite disappointed. I am going to guess today was a fluke because my food did not look much like the food in pictures. The Bento Box comes with two daily sides, a fried potato and of course your entree/rice. I got salad and a cucumber + bean sprout kimchi, both were delicious. The fried potato was, well, a tempura fried potato so also quite delicious, extremely fluffy interior. The Miso soup was some of the best I have had, though I was not a fan of the firm texture of the tofu. Then we have the pork - dry, strange after taste though the house made sauce was quite yummy. Portion size was not too shabby for lunch, albeit overpriced for quality. The fried rice was just awful, so I didn't end up taking more than two bites. Apart from the sides the quality hardly rivaled food court cuisine. As I said, maybe it was a fluke, maybe it is what I ordered but if I do come back I will certainly not be trying what I had...
Read moreThe owner treats her staff like they are dumb. I told my server that I am allergic to onions. I see the server write that down and she even told the cook since I am sitting pretty close by. 10 minutes goes by and the server brings out my food says oh my gosh there is green onion let me get this fixed. The owner ends up yelling at her because she told her she should have wrote down "no green onion" rather than "no onion". The owner then made this young teen girl apologize to me.
I am baffled by the lack of awareness and complete disrespect I see from the owners in the way they treat their staff. They are always talking down to their staff and ruining the environment of the place. The food portions keep getting smaller, the quality has gone down and I will not support...
