Blazing Electronics - iPhone Repair, Buy Used Phone, Cell Phone Repair — Local services in Wichita

SEE UPDATE BELOW! My wife needed to replace her crashed I-phone5s, which cost over $600 from our carrier 4 yrs ago. I thought we would save $ by buying used. Blazing Electronics got good reviews on repairs and used phones. Chris was very helpful, determined the 5s couldn't be fixed and sold us an I-phone SE for $200. He asked what carrier and we told him our sub carrier used ATT. He said " this will work" and helped set it up. Ok for 2 mo. until we were ready to embark on a trip to Ireland and our subcarrier told us to go to Target and get new T-mobile sim cards installed in our phones as that is the service they use in Ireland. OK. Oops, the used I-phone SE was locked to ATT who refused to unlock it. Blazing Electronics did not tell us that when we bought the phone. We called our sub carrier and lo and behold they sell the I-phone SE, brand new, for $160. Called Blazilng Electronics and was told they would do an exchange for an unlocked (used) phone for $50 more dollars. I wanted my money back and their offer was to buy back the phone for $95. I fnially took that offer and then the topper: they will send me a check, no credit on the credit card or cash. I know it's buyer beware, but I think Blazing Electronics has the responsiblity to tell customers that they are buying a locked phone and will not be able to use it with any other carrier. One star for friendly and helpful employees. F minus for customer service and policies. "UPDATE" The owners of Blazing Electronics called me after I posted this review. After a long negotiation on the phone and in person at the store at 9pm, they refunded $120 of the initial $199 phone purchase. Not sure why they wouldn't just make a total refund to make a satisfied customer, but at least they responded and did give us an additional $25 back. I upped my rating to 3...

Wichita is certainly have a few of those fix it or repair or cellphone/computers type of stores but the majority of them I found either price too high or services are sub-par not worth the time or $$$ , but here @ the Blazing Electronics I was very impressed with the quality of prices and services that were giving the customers. I have to admitted that before i came here, I have never herd of this store name before( I guess because of being new to the Wichita area). A friend of mind recommended, and I was not disappointed at all. The services that I had from the two gentleman that work there were outstanding , Especially, Christopher, his customer service was an A+ to me, attentive , honest, integrity and very knowledgeable. I wish there are more like him( I used to took my business to the other store, trying not to name, name: You break it we fix, bad customers' service and not to mention way way overprice on everything). and for this reason and reason alone , I will recommend to all my family and friends if they need a work done or a new/used phones to come to this store. Woke up to my Apple IPhone 7 Plus cracked and black on my wood floor. In much dissaray I looked on Google to find. Well the one that was closest and admittedly one I had never visited just so happened to be blazing Electronics. First off very clean location, Now, customer service I know is something that almost always either gets a 1 star or 5 star or it was amazing or it was terrible with it ending in you wondering if the guy leaving the review was even telling the truth. Well I sit here with my phone fixed thoroughly impressed with the turnaround time, price and customer service and I sincerely mean that. While I was in there I happened to notice that their selection of used phones you can buy that you can be sure you won't have to worry about getting a call or waking up to it locked because it was a stolen device you bought on let-go, which had happened in the past to me okay. guys were reasonably priced and had a fast turnaround time. He even fixed my dented frame which I hadn't even asked for at no extra charge. zi am...
