Definitely my favorite in Wichita. The PORK pan fried dumplings, everyday forever I’d be happy! The spicy sauce for dipping, yum! So savory and soft, perfect cook. The crab ragoons, are my favorite crab ragoons ever because they use real green onion and it makes them amazing, along with the thin wrap for awesome crunch, creamy amazingness. I’m pretty sure it’s all handmade. And the taste shows. The egg rolls are great too!! The rice is amazing, I could eat it alone. I often will get a side of rice with the sausage mix on top- YUM! The combos are all super large portions. The roast chicken is amazing, moist, and a delicious crispy skin! The pork chops are great. Thin, juicy, crispy- everything you want. So any of the combos like the pork with that sticky sweet sauce, the pork on top of mixed vegetables scramble with eggs and special sauce, any of them will make you happy!! The ramen, must be popular, because some days they sell out of it soon. The staff is the best, and so very nice and helpful. It’s in a great location, so it’s easy to find. A great place to eat there...

I don't know if I was served by an usual person, but the lady behind the counter was not friendly in the slightest. I didn't have much of an an issue with her personally (she was rude when I asked her what kind of tea the hot tea was), but other customers ordering after me were met with some rather harsh tones and snappy responses. The food was average to below average. I could have made better yakisoba at home via frozen noodles much quicker. They also didn't listen to my oder. If I had an allergy, I would be rather upset but instead I just ate around. I had also originally intended to order the katsudon but last time I had gone, they only put sauce over the eggs and not the tokatsu itself. I asked if that could be done and she told me no, if I wanted that I'd have to spoon it over myself.

I am one for loving simple and delicious food, and that is exactly what I get from Japan express. Tonkatsu chicken and teriyaki chicken are my two favorites, definitely go with the large size on the teriyaki chicken. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and served with a generous helping of rice (you can ask for double rice instead of the salad!) and delicious sauce.
