We tried Molino's last night at the recommendation of a friend and what a pleasant surprise it was! I am the chef/owner of Parsnipity Cafe in the Epic Center and at the end of the day, I'm tired and hungry, usually having not eaten a thing all day. When I eat out, I want the food to be beautifully plated, flavorful and delicious, because it's such a treat for me to enjoy these things in other chef's food. I also want the service to be problem-free and pleasant. Molino's surpassed my expectation on both of these. The food was gorgeous, as you can see from the photos. I felt rested just looking at those plates of food. The portions were big, the food hot and full of great texture and flavor and there were surprising little touches here and there, like the lemon pepper on the rim of the margarita. Our server was very helpful with the menu (I ask a lot of questions), friendly, fast and courteous. Molino's is very close to my cafe, so we are planning to go every Wednesday night for the $2 margaritas and great experience in food and service.

I see why this place earned Best Mexican Food in Wichita two years running. Fresh vegetables and herbs. Fresh salsa done right - just enough heat so you know it's there. Lunch nachos (huge) - chips covered in queso, guacamole, sour cream, beef, pico, plenty of cilantro that pops. The pibil is outstanding - tender, slightly spicy. Just a wonder with or without a tortilla. I had the burrito filled with mixed meat (discada). Try the elote - creamy street corn. Everyone commented that the meat was tender and you can taste each element. So much on the menu that I have to try. And factor in the different meats and you'll always have a new dish. Looking forward to the barbacoa and the green pozole (Wednesday). Great friendly staff, keeps your drinks filled.

There are much better options in town for Mexican. They did put a lot of effort into making the plates look pretty. The jalapenos wrapped in bacon. We're not cooked so the jalapenos are raw which was kind of jarring and not very good. The chicken they used for the enchiladas taste like microwave, frozen chicken and had no seasoning on it at all. The red sauce for the enchiladas also had no flavor. The steak chimichanga, however, was probably one of the best ones I've had in town. The salsa was absolutely horrible. It was just very chunky and had no flavor to it. Kind of just tasted like crushed tomatoes.

If there was a way to give no starts I would... But i have to at least give one - This was probably the worst experience I have had at any establishment. I placed an order on 07/09 at 12:30 pm. I received conformation emails that it was approved and reviewed by Molinos through the catering company. This afternoon I went to check my email and saw that my order had been canceled the night before at around 10:00pm. I did not receive any text message/phone call making me aware of this. I saw this email at 11:46 on 07/10 when I was expecting the order to be delivered by 12:30pm - I was very frustrated and upset at this point. We were having an event for work that involved 16 people. I called the catering company and they were very apologetic on their end and that they didnt contact me but said the owner of Molinos just asked to cancel with no contact. They called Molinos for me an worked out to the same order I just had to go pick it up and instead of a 12:30 ready time it would be 12:45pm I was upset but I still accepted. I get to Molinos and asked for the manager and said I was the carryout. There was ANOTHER mess up. They hadnt even started cooking and just said they canceled the order again... She said I could place the order with her but wouldn't provide any discounts. I called the catering company back was able to reorder and they provided me with a discount and again THEY provided me with empathy. When I was getting ready to hang up with them the manager from Molinos brought over a phone to me and said her husband wanted to talk to me. Again they just kept telling me I couldnt blame them and it wasn't their fault - at this point its 1:30 i still have no food or order being made and they keep blaming the other party- i was getting more upset... It ended up being they have their menu wrong for the cartering company and he kept denying the order because a meal said it came with 3 sides instead of 2.... He finally accepted it and i had to wait another 20 mins for it to only be wrong again....... Molinos had no remorse in their part. This was the worst customer service ever. The food was cold by the time we got back to our job. and we still had food missing. I ended up losing 3 hours total from work for this. The manager there even laughed at me when I was leaving because of me being upset. I will never do business with them and will be sure to spread the word on my experience I had with them. If you look at the reviewes below me their response they still blame the other company and take on no...

We have been eating at Molinos for years. Everything I've had is delicious. But my favorite thing ever is good Carnitas. And that's the only thing I've ordered in a good 5+ years. So this review is narrow. But they have darn good Carnitas. I grew up on either the Three Color Plate or King Size Burrito at Connie's. Both with the same pork. So over the past 50 years I always come back to that. And Molinos has a wonderful version.

My Mom chose Molinos for her 75th (wink) Bday dinner, and it was as good as ever. In fact, over the years, we went from all getting our own orders to now all eating thr Carnitas. The service is great. Everyone has always been kind and served with a smile. Even with us who need something more every few minutes. And I've always loved the atmosphere at the Waco location. The East side one was cool, but the food and service was never quite as good. May be why it didn't last.

The extra hot sauce is amazing. And the margaritas are delicious! They put some chili seasoning or something with the salt. Very good.

Plus, they let you have a margarita and a beer unlike some places. Lol. Abuelos almost called the drink cops on us for wanting a beer to wash food down with and a margarita for pure deliciousness. 🙃 Anyway. Highly recommended. Was great as always, and my Mom was happy for her choice! I sometimes daydream...

This review is for catering. The food is great, definitely go dine-in, and when we were there the staff was amazing. The owner in charge of catering lacks customer service skills. My fiance and I know what food we want for the wedding. We were open to aditional services like delivery and warming kits depending on price and communicated that. What we really wanted was a price. We were basically forced to go to the restaurant and try out the food, $15 per person, before we could even get an answer on the starting price per plate. There was a misunderstanding on whether we wanted the full service and the owner texted me on a Sunday evening asking for the venues managers personal number (I don't even know that we have that number). I communicated that I did not feel comfortable giving that out before receiving a quote. We had given him the venue name and address. The guy told us to go somewhere else. We spent our afternoon and money trying out the food at the restaurant in order to get a quote. The wife pretty much convinced us to go with them and this guy got offended because I prioritized privacy. I'm glad this happened before we really invested our money with them. It seems like he can cancel your order at any minute if you don't do as he says, I'd be wary of doing any...
