I’ve been here a few times over the years and every time prior to today, the food had been good to excellent. However, today was a different story. Upon entry, I noted smudged mirrors, a dusty decor and a handful of people. I should have turned around then but I had my heart set on chicken lettuce wraps. We ordered the wraps and the crab wontons after our waiter peeked at us from the kitchen hallway whilst presumably munching on his own dinner of sorts. (I don’t really care that he was snacking, but he said he’d be right back, it wasn’t busy and he watched us sit for a while, waiting to order after he’d said he’d be ‘right back.’ We didn’t display interest in the booze menu since we typically don’t drink , so we weren’t going to be money makers anyway. However, we’re still paying/tipping customers and if he’d talked the drinks up a bit more, I might have had one.) I ordered the Singapore Street Noodles. I was tempted to try the salmon, but after observing for a few minutes, I decided to stay on the inexpensive side. (A decision I would not regret.) My partner ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. The appetizers arrived and were not disappointing. I’d remembered the lettuce wraps being more flavorful in the past, but maybe I’m just getting older and have a different appreciation than I used to.
Well, our main dishes arrived.
Now, I am older and I do need glasses these days, but I can still see very well. My dish arrived and appeared dry. No steam, just hot and dry. The shrimp and chicken that gave their lives to feed me, died in vain. The six poor crispy crustaceans that were sacrificed for this dish were not honored in their preparation. If I wanted leather, I’d have driven myself to the Tandy store. But I didn’t go to PF Changs for a leather project, I went for a well prepared meal. The shrimp were, in my opinion, inedible. The outside was dry and hardened. The inside was also dry. There must have been some doubts about how many times you have to kill shrimp before they stay dead because it looked like they were killed 3-4 times before I got them. The chicken wasn’t well honored either. Bone dry on the outside and mildly tender in the middle. The Chicken Pad Thai had a nice flavor, but had the same problem with the shrimp and chicken as my dish. (Rest their souls.) We were offered to go boxes and 80$ later, we left.
You’d think this story would be finished, but you’d be wrong.
We went here immediately before watching a movie. We came out immediately after watching a movie. In that time span, the to go boxes of food from PF Changs managed to make my car smell like I had three day old food garbage in it. (I guess it’s a strong possibility that the food in those boxes were well past their expiration date.) The food was tossed in the OUTSIDE trash can as son as we got home. We won’t be returning to PF Changs in Wichita, KS. To those of you who...

Let me preface this w/ a fun fact. P.F. Chang's WAS at one point one of my FAVES! Located nicely in an area known as The Waterfront, it sports a comfortable feeling atmosphere that I've loved experiencing w/ almost everyone close in my life. Always thought the food was amazing...
That is, until I ordered from them yesterday through Uber Eats & received quite possibly the WORST tasting attempt (or lack thereof) at food literally ever! The quality has taken a nose dive to put it mildly. I ordered my...now former...faves, the Lettuce Wraps & Chicken Fried Rice & braved something new with their Chicken Pad Thai...sweet baby Jesus the food was absolutely awful! Lettuce was either slimy, 🤮 wilted or brown so out of the 1/2, (if that) head I received I think I dared to consume maybe 3-4 unfortunate looking pieces. The "chicken" part of the dish had a downright depressing, unbelievably inept-bordering on criminal slight reminisce of an attempt at recreating the flavor that makes their lettuce wraps soooo addictive-ly delicious but was traumatized by the (AliExpress version) pretend chef that somehow found their way into the P.F. kitchen. Dude! What was with the mushrooms being massive vs finely chopped like required? Where was the chicken hiding yesterday & most important the RECIPE listing the ingredients so desperately needed, yet unfortunately left out?!! Lemme gather my emotions real quick before I continue on to the "Main Entree", (more appropriate name being Main Plot...of a Horror Movie) I chose, the also 🐔-less Chicken Pad Thai...simply put..it smelled like a wet dog, so..it was a no go & last but not least, my mistake..ahem, menu item ..my AGAIN, noticeably 🐓-🚫...🐔 Fried Rice which, when ordered off the kid's menu clearly states, in writing that it also comes with "fresh" 🤥 fruit....uhmmm, mine...however, did not. Mine came with the added benefit of...decomposition! The benefits you ask? It being more than likely that I DIDN'T consume TOO many mycotoxins from the moldy fruit P.F. Chang's promised me would be fresh..
Edit: Happy to report no symptoms from yesterday's consumption of the...

I recently dined at this restaurant, and I have to say it was THE best experience I’ve had, especially as someone with food allergies. With soy and gluten being two of my main concerns, eating out can sometimes feel more like a risk than a pleasure. However, Chef Jose and operating partner Erik completely changed that for me.
From the moment I informed them about my allergies, both Chef Jose and Erik went above and beyond to ensure my safety and enjoyment. They carefully reviewed the menu with me, offered alternative suggestions, and took extra precautions in the kitchen to avoid any cross-contamination. The attention to detail was remarkable, and I felt completely at ease knowing they truly understood the seriousness of my allergies.
The meal itself was exceptional. Despite my dietary restrictions, Chef Jose created a flavorful, satisfying dish that never felt like a compromise. The textures, the balance of flavors, and the care put into the meal made it a standout dining experience. It’s clear that both the culinary skill and customer service here are top-notch.
If you’re someone with food allergies or dietary restrictions, I can’t recommend this place enough. Chef Jose and Erik genuinely care about their guests’ well-being, and they go the extra mile to make sure everyone can enjoy a safe, delicious meal. This level of care is rare and truly appreciated!
Thank you again to Chef Jose and Erik for making my dining experience not only safe but...
