Beware Dashers they will lie saying the order is being made even if it was stolen.
I am a DoorDash driver and as I was dashing a couple of days ago I received an order for food from this restaurant and as so I went to pick up said order. Once I got to the location. I went inside asked the person at the register if the order was ready to which they said “let me go check”. The employee went to the back, came back to the register and said it was “being made” I then sat in the lobby for 40 minutes being told twice during that time by the same employee that it was still being made.
Then that same employee came out to the front after being in the back basically the whole time I was there (except the times they came out to say the food was still being made) but they saw I was still in the restaurant looked at me and asked something along the lines of “Your still here?” To which I said “yeah?”.
Because yk that doesn’t make any sense and the employee then turned around went back in the back I hear some talking and 5 minutes later they came back with what I assume is a manager who then told me that the order I had been waiting 40 minutes to “be made” had “already been picked up” to which I asked “How is that possible if I’m standing right here waiting for it”. The manager then told me they “just got there and had no clue” and that they “didn’t even know I was in the lobby”
Which first of All this person/probably manager greeted me on their way to bathroom about 5 minutes into me waiting for the order so idk how true that all is.
But again the manager says “it’s already been picked up i don’t know what you want me to do” Which didn’t make any sense to me because again I hadn’t picked it up so I call DoorDash support and they tell me I can either cancel the order or have it remade “great” I say to myself. I then text this to the customer who messages back that they are gunna cancel the order because they didn’t want to wait any longer which is perfectly understandable considering I had been there for 40 minutes.
(let me note the entire time I’d been in there I was messaging the customer who ordered the food, with updates as they had been asking me what’s taking so long)
So after all that I come to ask the owners of this store. Why did I sit in the lobby for 40 minutes waiting for it to be made if it was already picked up? Why was I told multiple times it was being made if it was already picked up? Why did the manager seemingly lie to my face when questioned about it? Why are your employees just letting anybody off the street take DoorDash orders?
That was my experience basically in full of me trying to pick up a DoorDash order from this location Thank you for waisting my time and money for no reason...
Read moreI love the food at Schlotzsky's, and they are not in the area we moved to any more, so anytime we come to Wichita for my husbands duty weekend, we always make the stop. We have 2 young children as well.
Last night, after a 3 hour drive, we stopped for our food. My 4-month-old son was hungry as well, so I was nursing him. We picked a spot away from most people so I could do this discreetly. I kept getting dirty looks from an older woman that made it very uncomfortable to eat there. Then, my husband finished his food and I had finished mine as well with some leftovers, but my 19-month-old was still eating her meal and my baby was still nursing. The manager came over and said she would box our food for us. Then she took my food and boxed it. She started to do that to my daughters food as well, but we stopped her because she was still eating. She told us now we would have one less thing to do. After my son was finished I burped him and then went to go change his diaper (which by the way, they have NO PLACE TO CHANGE BABIES) when I was finished, I came out and the same manager said "Are you ready to go now?" and basically pointed us to the door.
I cannot believe we were rushed out of there after spending nearly 25 dollars on what is essentially branded sandwiches, and then we could not even enjoy it because the MANAGEMENT was trying to get us out the door. I have never been so disrespected. We love Schlotzkys but to spend that much money on fast food and then get treated like that all for letting my baby eat too, is ridiculous. We will not be going back to...
Read moreI use to go to this location all the time. I have celiac disease meaning I can have No Gluten. No problems in the past. Today was a whole different story; from the time I placed the order in drive thru to having to go back thru to get the sandwich I had order, to getting down the street and realizing someone must have put half a jar of mayo on the sandwich. First attempt thru drive thru... Was told at first it was going to be 17.87 for a gluten-free sandwich and a large diet coke -- cancel that please, to oh I am sorry I gave you the wrong order amount to exactly getting the wrong order. No gluten free bun and not even the sandwich I ordered. 2nd attempt, should have known better, but I didn't listen to my gut. Got the right bread. Halfway down the street, I reached over to pick up one half of the sandwich and got a handful of mayo. Then discovered that part of the sandwich was missing. Tried to call three times with no answer. Whoever runs that store needs to fire the people working Saturday and get someone to work that cares. I understand that is even a task these days. I Do Not recommend this location. ...
