Side Pockets Restaurant & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Wichita

Been going to side pockets for years but the past few times I’ve went hasn’t been great. Took my wife there for lunch for our anniversary and to shoot some pool. We get 1 hr to play pool if you order food. We started playing pool but the table is broke for starters and balls keep getting stuck and cue ball just shoots out the side. Also a family next to us has a table eating lunch but we keep getting tangled up while we play and have to avoid hitting them with the cue sticks. Not a big deal though we’ll just ask to move over a table out of respect for them and so that way we can get a better pool table this time around. So we ask for a new pool table and the lady server we have says it’s not a big deal and she’ll be back. So now we’re eating our food and burgers we’re burnt badly and at this point we’re both waiting on refills. Then we get up and go ask again about the pool table, once again we’re told that she’ll get with us but then another 20 mins go buy and still nothing. No refills to help wash down these burnt burgers or even to open up another pool table so we can play, we have already been there for a hr or more at this point so we just give up and finally get the bill and when the server came not once did she mention opening the pool table or refills to go at least so we leave no tip. I get it’s normal to forget and get busy but it was Monday at about 12:30pm so it wasn’t a full house and there is no reason why I should have to ask multiple times. Return Visit.... We went to Side Pockets for lunch today at noon. After Our usual lunch spot changed their fries from think and meaty to thin and dry.... So we were looking for a new place to have lunch... We found it.

The food was great. The Iced tea was Amazing. The Burgers were Thick and Juicy. The Fries were Perfect. I had a Chicken Fried Steak and Loaded Baked Potato, Corn and added a Side Salad that came loaded with cheese and bacon. Which were all Great! .... Go in and see KD and Dillion for Great Fast and Friendly. service. This place is Nice and Clean. There was a group of Ladies having a Birthday Party. They looked to be having a great time... We will be regulars from now on...

First Visit.... Amazing Huge Meaty Wings. And Great Burgers... I had a soda, But my husband commented the beer was really cold.... You can't tell from the front. But, This place is huge. Get there early. There is a line half way around the block. I had the ask our first time what the fuse was all about. So the door man let me take a peak inside the door. ( While the crowd in line screamed. Thinking he was letting me in ahead of them) Amazing... I had only seen that sort of thing in the movies. Not in Wichita, Kansas. They have just expanded. Lots of pool tables (I didn't count them) A huge fireplace with lots of leather sofas in one area, Tall tables and chairs in another. A Long bar along the length of the room to the left. and a WIDE isle down the middle to get you to each section without walking though the crowd. I love this place. We...

Was looking for a spot on the way from work. First time coming here, and was hopeful because I heard this place was a good place to come from friends and coworkers. Atmosphere inside is pretty nice and relaxing, and was looking forward to enjoying something to eat and drink after working a Saturday. Walked up to there bar, which wasn't busy. There was one gentleman ahead of me to order. Saw two people behind the bar walk back and forth a couple times, made eye contact and they kept walking. Saw waitresses walking around, but it appeared as if you had to chase one of them down to make an order. The gentleman ahead of me at the bar finally had someone greet him, and he was attempting to order something, not sure, but the woman behind the bar told him there is a server in your (his) section and should order with her. He seemed a little put of by that, so I thought, maybe I should find a seat and have a server, after waiting for about 5 minutes.

Found a seat, was looking at a drink menu, and looked around for a server in the section I chose. Saw a lot of servers roaming around, but evidently I was in the wrong section. Sat at a table for about 5 minutes, saw no one come around, and decided to get up and leave. I hope this is a one off event, because I've heard good things.

Anyway, after leaving, decided to head to The Oasis, and was greeted, served and drinking within...
