It’s a good place to chill and play pool, though if you’re female I highly suggest bringing a guy friend. From my experience of having gone more than a few times since it’s right next to my house, the guys that happen to frequent there are very aggressive and if you are a female playing with a female friend, or alone, even if you ask them to leave you alone (I’m very assertive about it) they don’t listen and keep bugging you. The last time I was there, there was a particular regular that, after being assertive by telling him to go away, he got really close to me and told me that he has no problem hurting me. That’s not the establishments fault, but I wish they had a bouncer or at least kept a closer eye on their patrons. The reason I rate this two stars is because a couple of the bartenders have been rude to me in the past, which, I mean I get it, I’m female so I might not tip as well (I used to bartend) but still. The selection of beer isn’t that great, but it’s okay. I also wish that the employees got to choose the music because 99 percent of the time some sad, slow country song is playing, which makes it a depressing atmosphere. To be fair, you can change the songs in the jukebox but it doesn’t help that most people who frequent there play sad music. Three friends and I decided to shoot a couple of games of pool over a pitcher or two. My friend and I went directly to the table and pop played through two games when our lady friend and her boyfriend caught up to us. She told us that the bartender wanted to see all of our ID's, us men are in our mid 30s but her boyfriend didn't happen to have his ID on him. Despite 3 of us having our DL's on us and the other gentleman obviously being well beyond 30, she walked over and with a very disrespectful tone, told us that we were all to immediately leave the grounds. I took a glance around the packed hall and soaked in the fact that my 3 friends were the only black people in the establishment. This was a blatent act of racism and left all of us befuddled. I found this place about a year ago and i've been a loyal patron ever since. When I walk in, they already know what I want and have it delivered at my table without asking. The owners are extremely friendly and I would say have become good friends of mine. Being new to the area I consider this my home away from home. The regulars are very approachable and love talking pool or anything else that might come up. The pool tournaments are run professionally and the food has never disappointed.
