Have somewhat a mixed review, the food was worth 5 🌟 stars 🌟. However unfortunately the obvious concern for profit over customer safety quickly brought it down to too stars. (See picture below.) Every table full, no 6ft ineffect here...rather put up boards on the top of booths and pack people on in. If that's not bad enough, the service sent this meal to the negative side, by at least -3 stars. Our servers name was, well we'll just use her 1st initial and call her B. It started out well, but then when it came to ordering food and drinks, we had ordered coffee and hot tea with milk for creamer, Well the drinks came right out, 10 minutes later the cups did. The food came out before the milk did. We also asked for lots of sugar, Well that triggered a debate as to whether or not we can get it because with covid regulations Anything not used have to be thrown away, funny there was none extra, in fact not even enough to finish. I requested seasoned fries which is listed on their menu for her to debate with me and whether or not they have seasoned fries and then when the fries came out they were not seasoned, however, the manager did bring me some seasoning in a bowl to put on a myself. With myself and my family being in the restaurant business for many years we know you serve from the left and pull from the right. Not in this case. Today, I guess the new style is to, pick things up that you set on the table and reach over a customer's plate to hand it to another customer. After having another customer, coughing behind me while paying for their meal I quickly decided to end my meal which was the all you can eat fish. And mark this off as a disastrous dinner.

The East Wichita Village Inn, at the south end corner of Harry and Rock. Here is a fairly reliable diner for the east side, with a good menu of variety and quality food. My most recent visit was for one supreme breakfast, the Tuscan Skillet. The combination of chicken and pesto with the sunny side up eggs and crispy potatoes were well executed by the cook. My meal also came with a crape that was wonderfully presented with strawberries and whipped cream but the pastry was too tough to enjoy. Overall, it was a fine meal from this major chain. I do think the service and atmosphere at this location can be all over the place and this last trip was loaded with issues like being seated in the worst spot in the house despite having plenty of open booths, a below-average waitress, and an absolute bottom-level greeter who made a horrible first and last impression of the restaurant. However, food is what they do best and I’m not detoured enough to never return. I can recommend this Village Inn when simply needing to go with a popular diner that has a little something for everybody.

I try to always leave positive reviews for businesses as I’ve worked in customer service, but the service or lack there of that I received today is inexcusable. I ordered delivery and upon opening the food saw that the bacon was undercooked. I moved it to the side and to my surprise found multiple hairs cooked into my food-not just on the food, but physically cooked into the eggs. I have blonde hair and this was dark. Upon calling the store to speak with the manager and being understanding telling her I’m aware these things can happen… I was told that the staff wears hair nets and beard nets and felt as though she didn’t believe me. There was zero sympathy or apology and very much not their problem…She also told me she personally packed my order and even cooked the bacon longer bc she noticed it wasn’t done. Complete waste of money and time. If you choose to go to this disgusting establishment beware-you’ll likely have more than you bargained for in your food.

I have had great service and food until today. Even the day we waited an hour for food when the health department showed up. And the 2 days they where short handed due to covid 19. 1-2-2022. Marcel was the server. Friendly service I guess he stop by 3 times. The food sucked. I asked for a toasted or grilled english muffin. Came out barely warm. Sent it back after I was done eating. I ordered a egg white omelet with american cheese. I got scramble eggs with american cheese on top. Omelets are a folded egg. Not scrambled. When I got my English muffin it cooked well and soaked in butter I mashed the English muffin with my napkin. It soaked the whole napkin and table. And then the table. My ticket is soaked in butter if to u want to look for it. Oh and the plate the english muffin came in had a tablespoon butter on it when I picked it up. And then, 2 servers were fighting on the floor the large man was scolding a women about doing here work cause he heard the female manger tell her to do it. What is up with the servers slamming the tray jacks down on the way back to she kitchen. Also. 2 servers talking about were they worked where he had to tip a bartender. But would not tip someone else. And all the servers standing around gossiping about what they liked in bed and how rough and what they all did new years eve. It is sad I know this cause I am hard of hearing. Just thought u would...
