Where do I even begin here? High level, if you're in Wickenburg, AZ at all, I highly recommend trying the Onery Hog! Dan & Jo Flower were great to chat with and they have such a fun little spot there. Thank you for the hospitality 🙏

For more detail, let's dive into it!

We ordered a mix of things to try and get a wide range of flavors. This included the ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and sausage. The ribs were tasty and I really enjoyed the rub on them. The pulled pork was great and just the right amount of juicy, not dry at all. The brisket was a little more dry than I might usually like but paired with the sweet sauce, it ended up hitting just right. As for the sausage, wowza! I hit something spicy in mine. My friends I was with didn't think it was too spicy so I guess I just got the spicy part in mine. I ended up putting the sweet sauce on it but it still had a good kick.

For the sides we went with cornbread, beans, mac & cheese, and coleslaw. I really enjoyed the cornbread, pretty fluffy and the green chili is a good touch in this. The beans were good but I think I still prefer ranch style beans with chunks of brisket and such. As for the mac & cheese, this was not really my thing with the green chili but I can see how many people might like this. Also, not enough sharp cheddar for me. To top it off, the coleslaw had the right kick of pepper and the right amount of of all the slaw ingredients.

On the sauce front, as I referenced above, my favorite was the sweet BBQ sauce. The mango habanero sauce was good and not too spicy. My spicy tolerance is low and I still enjoyed trying this on everything just to see how it paired.

The service was great! Again, thank you everyone there. You made our visit wonderful.

Last note, if you're charging at the Tesla Supercharger, this is an easy walk. It looks far on the map because of the bridge but, it's only a 5-10 minute walk depending on your pace.

I hope you visit and enjoy it as...

I love BBQ and smoking meats and also visit BBQ places to get ideas and see how my skills compare. Reading an article about the top food establishments in Arizona, I found that this place is ranked as the best in AZ, so I had to try it. The Wife and I live in Waddell, AZ, that is just south of Surprise, and we made a trip to Wickenburg, and several more with friends, just to have lunch here.

The Review: Cozy and friendly. The owners and there staff are friendly and make you feel as if you are a long time friend. The prices are on point for a fine meat smoking, pouring your heart and soul in to your work kind of place. The food, nothing but exceptional! The brisket is tender and full of flavor, the ribs beg you to let them melt in your mouth and burst with smokey love. The sausage has a kick, coleslaw is amazing, potato salad, which I am not normally a fan of, has a pleasant and smooth tastes and is not over powered by the mustard and is well balanced in seasonings. The cowboy beans will spice up your pallet with it added jalapeno for a twist. I have not tried the pulled pork yet, or any of the sandwiches but I will on...

Great food, Edti: The other local business owner is right. This owner is abrasive & rude. I was waiting for a phone call after wasting another $30 on a smalldinner. No option for water, so u have to purchase a drink. The owner knocked on my car, so I opened it with a smile. Thought he was the owner of a van for sale that I was looking at. He very rudly started interrogating me, when I went to shut my door & leave he was forcefully holding my door so i couldnt shutit, i had to use both hands. If you are closing & want me to leave, that's all you have to say. you have no right to touch anyone's property or interrogate people. Asking me what i'm doing in the parking lot after I spent another $30 on tasteless mac & cheese, burnt cornbread, dry brisket & very underwhelming food. For those prices it should be amazing. I have spent a lot of money here, being iron deficient. I eat a lot of beef. You just lost yourself a lot of money. Hopefully hes not as overbearing as he was to me to all the women that work there. Twice my size, he thinks he can intimidate people. Very ignorant think to do in a small town w...

We went on Friday night for the Prime Rib. OH. MY. GOODNESS. 5 of us got the Prime Rib. Everyone got a slab of meat that must have weighed 16 ounces ! It was cooked to a perfect Medium doneness. And the smoke flavor permeated the meat. Easily one of the best Prime Ribs I've ever had. It came with a side of Cole Slaw that was very good, and a delicious baked potato. We also got a helping of the green chilie cheddar corn bread. The corn bread was pretty good, although just a touch dry. But it was still well worth ordering. You do have to call ahead and make reservations for the Friday night Prime Rib / Salmon dinner so they know how much of each entree to prepare. Or you can just order off the menu, which looked very good also. This is a must try if you are in Wickenburg on a night that they are open. Update 4/12/24 - Oops, we did it again ! Same as last time, everything was delicious ! And the cornbread was moist and tender ! All y'all need to GET IN HERE !

I went to Onery Hog BBQ, LLC today and it was seriously delicious! We had ribs, brisket, pulled pork and mac and cheese. Everything was super tasty, well-seasoned, and had that fresh, homemade feel. You can really tell they cook with care and experience. The service was lovely, everyone was so kind and always smiling, which made the whole vibe feel warm and friendly. It’s about an hour from downtown Phoenix, really close to the 93 freeway, so it’s a great spot for a weekend lunch getaway. There’s plenty of space and even a nice area for big groups, so you can go with family or friends without a problem. And the best part: they’re pet friendly! I brought my kitty (she always stays in her little carrier) and it was totally fine. The place feels peaceful and welcoming for everyone. Definitely somewhere I’d love to go back to.
