Amazingly, it wasnât too busy for a Sunday at 9 AM, so we got a seat right away. Because we are living the keto lifestyle, finding restaurants with good, low-carb choices is our goal. We hate to waste food, so we decline rice & potato options that come with some entrees. Breakfasts are offered with a bed of greens instead of seasoned potatoes. Kudos! AlthoughâŚI still look longingly at the lemon ricotta pancakes. I got the Smoked Salmon and Roasted Veggie Frittata. It was very tasty and not too salty (from the salmon). It goes particularly well with the lemon-dressed greens. The roasted veggies are shallots and sun dried tomatoes. My one suggestion would be to dice the shallots (not slice) and cut the tomatoesâŚboth are hard to slice with regular knives so I felt like I was shredding the frittata every time I tried to cut it. And sun dried tomatoes are too intensely flavored to eat as a big piece. So, hubs decided he can indulge and add some carbs into his week by getting the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with strawberries (my longing turned into one decadent biteđ)âŚgosh they are so good. You donât even need syrup! Itâs a generous two 10â pancake serving, so he only ate half. He also got a side of link sausages that he really liked. We sat inside, but they have outside seating. Service was great with a sunny smile...
Read moreWe had a good experience at The Villages Wildwood location in the Villages...There was a bit of a wait without getting our names on the list ahead of time. (You can do that on their website but for someone reason that didn't work with this location.) Once seated in a good sized booth for the 5 of us dining we were overall pretty happy with our food.
The coffee comes in a pot you can refill your mug with at any point. It was pretty good, nice and strong the way coffee should be in any situation.
We started with the special Gingerbread Spiced Donuts served with cream and a fruit compote. I pretty much could eat these and nothing else for the rest of my life. I mean bowl of donuts, please, yes please. Warm and delightful.
My wife and I both got the market hash...me with egg whites and sourdough, and her with over easy eggs and gluten free bread. This is everything savory you want in a breakfast all in one skillet, besides the eggs, potatoes, vegetables and spinach...really hardy and filling...plus fresh.
Our kid got a breakfast burrito which was giant. We'd definitely come back to First Watch as they put a lot of work into their presentation with healthy options, choices for vegetarians, gluten free bread options and a nice step up from a regular diner, with all those...
Read moreWe come to First Watch every time we visit The Villages. The restaurant features âfarmhouse style breakfasts with a really homemade presentation.
There was about a 10 minute wait when we arrived around 10:30 am - on Black Friday. They turn tables over fast so we got in not long after coming to the host station.
We had Bloody Maryâs complete with a delicious slice of sugar bacon in the glass, and fresh squeezed juice comprised of orange, beet and agave.
The meals we had were the cinnamon roll to start, eggs Benedict, a fruit power bowl, and sausage gravy biscuits. Everything was delicious and we didnât wait long for the food.
The cinnamon roll was weaved with a âgoldâ knife and was dusted with gold sugar. The power bowl had chia seed, coconut milk pudding and d a variety of berries, homemade granola and banana.
Our guest asked for her eggs Benedict to be hard cooked and they came out to perfection. It was a great meal and the service was nice. We will continue coming back to First Watch whenever we visit The Villages. Highly recommend this for breakfast/...
