I have always rated this business five stars, considering the exceptional service and consistently delicious food. However, during my recent visit, I witnessed something far removed from the standard of professionalism I have come to expect.
While waiting for a pizza for my parents, I was taken aback by an unprofessional rant from what I later learned was the general manager, directed towards an employee on the floor. This confrontation occurred in full view of customers rather than in a private setting, and it was disheartening to see the embarrassment on the employee’s face. She appeared visibly upset, almost on the verge of tears, and I found myself cringing for her.
It is crucial for the owner, especially if this is a franchise, to understand that the general manager may benefit from further training on employee interactions and the importance of handling criticisms behind closed doors. Regardless of whether the young employee, whom I wish I could have identified but was too shocked to ask for her name, deserved the reprimand, the manner and setting in which it was delivered was completely inappropriate. I recall she had blonde hair and a nose ring, but her embarrassment is what I will remember most.
This incident was troubling, and it has unfortunately changed my perception of this establishment. I sincerely hope the general manager reflects on this encounter and adjusts his approach for the sake of his team and the overall environment.
