So I went here against my better judgement as I'd seen the many reviews panning the food etc. My daughter really wanted crabs so we went. There was a bit of a wait so we waited. We were texted saying our table was ready but then had to wait in another semi line to be seated. We unfortunately were seated in an area with a table of about 4 young girls and 2 adults. The girls were not only extremely loud but the one kept tilting her chair and making the legs smash the floor over and over again. I thought something was banging above us until I realized. What happened to keeping your children at bay while out and having consideration for those around you?! I know children are children but this was nuts. I asked to be moved after ordering drinks because there was NO way I could deal with this or should have to while having dinner. (Never thought this would take almost 3 hours). We were moved however our waitress changed unfortunately. The first one was nice just like our new one. So the new one comes over and asks if we need drinks we advice we already have drinks. She asks about ordering. We ask a few questions about things on the menu. She advises us, we order. 3 of us got the broiled seafood combo, 1 got the chicken parm the other the all you can eat snow crabs. She advised that the crabs would be the first to come out and was that okay. My daughter said sure thats fine. We also ordered mozzarella sticks, crab balls and mussels. While waiting we see people get bread also just having drinks so I ask for bread she brings us bread this was after us sitting for a while and we are hungry. We wait and wait and wait. The waitress comes by and says I'm sorry we are waiting on your mussell's. We say I thought you said the crabs would be out first. She says no usually we bring the apps out first. We were super confused as she totally just contradicted her original statement. Mind you the crabs are all you can eat and she now has very limited time to get her monies worth as it is $90. Finally they bring out the sticks, mussels and balls. The mozzarella sticks literally taste like grease and 4 of the 6 had absolutely NO cheese in them. At this point my hsuband was starved so he just said screw it and ate them. The balls left a lot to be desired and the mussels were good. Finally my daughter gets her first batch of crabs. She is eating them at a rapid pace as she doesn't have a ton of time to enjoy and get her monies worth. We then get our side salads they were super skimpy but I ate it I was starved. Then I wait again. Finally our main meals come out. I'm like this looks ok even the flounder which I advised I didn't eat and asked for a substitute such as another few shrimp or something and was told THEY DON'T do that. So I start eating the shrimp have NO flavor nor does the flounder. The scallops were OK but had to be drowned in butter. I didn't really like the clams casino or deviled crab. My daughter's fiancé agrees and says she isn't eating hers the entire things has NO flavor. My son says I'm starved I have to eat something and eats his. My husband ate his chicken parm as he was starved as well and literally refuses to complain about his meal at a restaurant but he also wasn't thrilled with his. My daughter liked her crabs but literally was skarfing them down because it took almost 40 minutes before she got her first bowl. I tell our waitress about the issue with the 2 of our meals. I had eaten some scallops and shrimp but told her they had no flavor but I was starved. Also told her that the other person wasn't going to eat theirs to please remove from the bill. When she gave us the bill she said we were able to remove hers and yours. When I looked at the bill I noticed they had only removed half of mine.. We trully should have just left after waiting way to long for anything to arrive at our table. When all was said and done half of us still had to leave here and eat something else as we didn't have dinner and were less than satisfied with anything we were served. Would've liked a refund....
Read moreI went to Wildwood on June 24 to the 26 of 2024. Going to Uries Waterfront restaurant was supposed to be our highlight meal for the shore vacation. It turned into the Worst. I had called around 1 pm to make sure you did not need reservations and I was told they did not take them but they start dinner at 4 pm and they were serving lunch now. I asked about parking and I was told plenty of parking. 2 lots. My wife and I are permanently disabled and I only saw 2 or 3 parking place designated for handicap and one car had no placards. We had to walk 50 plus yards and across the street. The receptionist asked if we wanted to be seated outside or inside and being this was our first time here I didn’t know where to sit . I was told because of it being a little bit more windy you might be better inside. When I was on the boardwalk earlier that day I was told there was a lot of flies on the beach so I was concerned about flies so we sat inside. We we saw very uncomfortable looking wood seats in a dark reception area with tables. This is approximately 4:30 PM and the lights weren’t even turned on. After the waitress came over to us, we asked what the specials were and I was Told that lobster tail that is stuffed was a special and my wife wanted salmon But a seafood restaurant I was told didn’t have any in stock that day so she got the flounder that was stuffed. I just got water because I don’t drink much and she got unsweetened iced tea After we placed our order, my wife says we’re supposed to get salads and I said I don’t know. We’ll wait for the waiters to come back, after a few few minutes, Someone came over with our drinks, but now I see we have no Splenda for my wife. I have to wave to people 30 yards away to get Splenda which they did. The waitress now brings the salads and I say what kind of dressing is this and she said the house dressing and she’s If you don’t like that, I can get you something else. My wife said that was fine My lettuce had a bunch of endive lettuce in it and hardly anything else with one tomato. My wife says to me now that she don’t like her salad and I tell her I’ll eat it and I realize her only had regular lettuce in it. I don’t think they mixed up the different kind of lettuce is in the back very well. The Salads were nothing special and I’ll get into the bad outcome in a bit. We had gotten three rolls that were not very fresh tasting, and they were not hot. Ice cold and stale tasting. My wife at this point says the waitress is kind of rude and not friendly. Our meal comes and I got the lobster tail and My wife got the stuffed flounder. I had asked for extra butter for my baked potato, which I never received when my meal came out. After eating the Crab stuffing that was on top of the lobster tail I realize I have no kind of knife to cut into the lobster tail, except for a butter knife. That is his dull as it all can be. I have to ask another waitress If they had a some kind of sharp knife and she acted like she didn’t know, but and I said well, can you ask? She returned with a knife that was required Into the rubber hard lobster tail that I had paid over $45 for. It was not good. NOT FRESH. The macaroni and cheese was not hot. After we ate We were asked if we wanted dessert and we said no. We were charged and additional some to use our credit card, which I saw no notice anywhere anywhere at the reception area of this matter Just a Footnote. I Pay the bill and I leave cash for a tip. I get in the SUV that I have to hike to and my stomach starts getting upset. We get to the motel in North Wildwood, and I immediately start running to the bathroom And it’s the salad. After the fourth time in 30 minutes, it’s definitely the salad. This was approximately 5:45 pm now. The salad or the dressing was bad. Overnight my wife also Very sick with the same issues. This was the only thing that we ate or The macaroni and cheese that was lukewarm to cold. Parking for Handicap not adequate. Seafood Meal not good. Salad made us...
Read moreIf I could take back my over due vacation time waisted on this restaurant I would!! My husband and I read the reviews online some good and some not so hot but the good out did the poor. I am here to let you know we were on the poor end of things to the point my family and I were looked down on from the wate staff with extreme predictions. We arrived at the restaurant with a 15 to 30 minute wait, it was excitedly 30 minutes, we were welcomed with open arms, perfict!!! We are walked to our table by a very kind hosts, asking us about our stay/ visiting or regulars... We get to our table with an amazing view of the water front and boats passing by, were by the bussing area but we don't care about a few dishes here and their the view was amazing and its family time?? right!! What more could you ask for?!! Our waitress comes gets our order she couldn't have been more help full to navigate us threw a confusing menu. Brings us our drinks. And Wow they were good!! We order our food. No problem after the help! We then hear a server talking about a table at the bussing station 3 feet away to another server. "Bla bla.. Thats ridiculous for them to ask how dare they!""I know right see if I care. ha" We let it go. Our server brings us up to par on items we need for dinner. (Great thank you!) My husband's and my dinner gets served to us. The both of us are having the same issue with our crab legs they were cold. After the second round he asked to switch to the other crab thinking the other might be better. The manager is iffy but she oks it. On to the third round... His our hot mine still cold. with this comes a commitment from the weight staff. "This is ridiculous the way they treat us, what are we slaves for hire?" OK that's it. I have had enough. I ask for a manager. She comes over apologizes for everything and tries to fix the situation. However she must have pin pointed us in the talk with the servers, as every server that exited the kitchen had dirty looks to give to my husband and I, I stopped counting after 5. About this time my daughter's meal came out. Her chicken looked okish, and her fries looked like they spent a week in a grease bath. But, she's six and this dinner was for daddy and mommy(as the entire rest of the trip was for her) so she'll live. A few moments later a male server spoke with a female server all I heard was "apparently table 11 has a problem (as he pointed to us) well thats why we should get a divider". Just then the manager finally served me hot crab legs. However I was so upset with the servers talking about my family and I as well as the rest of the dinning room guests. I was shaking to the point I couldn't eat or drink to enjoy the rest of my stay. We asked for the check and then was confronted by another server "oh, were you listening to us talk?" "I am sorry?"(NO!! I was listening to you complaining about the people who pay your check each week.) and was then handed a full bill. We paid as a good guest should. But the humiliation, controversy and disrespect, my family and I endored. I...
