I wish I could give zero stars. This place is horrible. We’ve ordered from them through Uber eats, and do pick up as it’s right down the road from us. This is the 3rd time that we’ve tried the food there on different occasions. First, the Uber app tells me my food is ready for pick up. I walk in the place and the music is SUPER LOUD for no reason. The place is not all that big. You scream trying to talk to the people. I stood at the counter for a good 2-3 minutes before even being spoken too, mind you there’s 4-5 people behind the counter. All of them talking, laughing with each other speaking Spanish. Then, I said I’m here to pick up from Uber eats, the girl looks at me like I have 10 heads. Squinting at my phone reading my confirmation number. Starts talking in Spanish with the owner, all trying to look on a kiosk where my order was. I’m sure my order wasn’t even placed. No one was paying attention. Owner (I think) was focused on bringing “fancy” food to a photographer taking pictures of foods. Took about another 5-10 minutes for my food to be ready, stood at the counter waiting and the girl was pointing at me speaking Spanish. The fun part, I finally get my food and it wasn’t even what I ordered. My pernil was DRY AF. the rice has noooo flavor, so dry also. My order asked for beans, no beans. Worst place I've ever been in my almost 40 yrs!!!! Seriously, idk if it was because we were black, they were trying to give us the WORST experience possible so we wouldn't return, but it was bad! The waitress was sweet but completely bombed on our orders. We literally had to keep asking her for missing items that came with our meal. Rice and beans are supposed to come w the meal, my husband didn't get his. My son's order was missing his salad. The rice was uncooked, the food took almost an hour and when we all got our food it was cold! Literally the food was cold. I had to ask 4 times for the lime I requested for my water. The hookah didn't work properly. We weren't even given a receipt! It was terrible, not mention in a busted neighborhood that's extreme ghetto. I would never come here again. I have no clue how this place got so many stars. We dined outside bc it was a nice evening, went to go inside to use the restroom, I was told to use the Men's bathroom, which had no tissue. Had to wait for toilet paper. When I say all around hot mess, never the heck again. If you're Dominican, you'll probably get better service, better food, and a receipt! We were a party of 5, in town visiting family, the bill was almost $300. Again no receipt to justify the pricing. My husband was so fed up that we paid just so we can LEAVE!!!! Stop blaming Doordashers for your poor and extremely slow service. Came in for a pickup, you said it wasn't ready but should be out in about 3 minutes. 35 MINUTES LATER before the order came out. This was mid day, the place was not busy.There were no customers inside and only a few outside and about 8 workers behind the the counter. While waiting, only one other delivery came in so I don't understand the wait. As for Dasher blaming for missing items, what do you people think we do with them? We pick up orders, usually in a sealed bag. If the items weren't there, YOU...the restaurant, missed them and did not present it to the Dasher. Yeah, we are supposed to verify the order. but when you are waiting over a half an hour and count the lost wages, your delivery drivers are so excited to be finally free from your place.
