The location here in Wilkesboro has completely fallen off. The past few times I've eaten from there I've had issues with the ingredients being fresh. Several times the tomatoes were bad and tasted horrible, the lettuce was brown a couple of times, the chicken was old on occasion and today I found a hair in my first bite. I'm wearing a high bun today so I know it wasn't mine, plus I had just opened it and the hair was wrapped around a piece of lettuce. When I called and spoke with Andrew, one of the managers about my issues he's normally very apologetic and quick to fix it. I was willing to allow them the opportunity to replace my food when dealing with bad ingredients but the hair did me in and I just wanted a refund this time. When I called today Charles was the manager and he didn't seem very concerned that I found a hair in my food his only response was to make sure that I brought the salad back. I guess he was worried I would eat it anyway and get a free salad. I love Zaxbys and eat there often but after this I'm completely done with this location for sure and maybe even the chain in general. Tasting rotten tomatoes is disgusting enough but to realize I had a strangers hair in my mouth was so much worse. I doubt I'll be able to eat anything for the rest of the day because my stomach is so upset due to being completely...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this location, as I normally don’t travel to this area for work. I am very glad, I had the opportunity to eat at this location. The employee that brought my order out was very wonderful. I have a small issue with this location. I tried to hand the employee a tip, she backed up said, “I apologize, but we can not take tips!” I am sure she could see the shock on my face. I have tipped everyone that brings my food to my car while traveling for work. I have never been told the employer doesn’t allow it. Trust me, I understand where Zaxby’s is coming from with everything being about tipping now days. I just think, if the customer feels inclined to give an employee a tip for wonderful, friendly service they should be able to without the employee fearing they would be terminated if they took it. It’s very difficult for businesses to find even half way decent employees right now. I think, these magnificent employees that stand out to customers should be tipped if the customer chooses to do so. I have tipped for terrible service more times than I can count. I would’ve been thrilled had she took the tip. Please allow customers to help your employees out if...
Read moreWhy one star? My family stopped on the way home from vacation to eat dinner at this location. I had to change my baby’s diaper and when I went into the restroom there wasn’t a changing table which is really inconvenient when needing to change a poopy diaper. My older daughter came in while I was looking for a place to change the diaper so I helped her. As I was holding the door after she washed her hands an employee came out of the restroom stall and walked straight out without washing her hands. I made a comment about not washing her hands and how that was gross but she didn’t even stop. I then had to change the diaper on the bench at the table and as we were leaving I went to the register to let them know about the employee that didn’t wash her hands. The young man at the register didn’t seem to care and barely looked at me while I made my complaint and said he would tell his manager. As we walked out I could her him yell “Make sure you wash your hands when going to the bathroom” in a tone of voice that seemed like he didn’t care. We were there on 3/21/25 around 7pm. Not washing hands after going to the restroom is very unsanitary and just...
