Update 12/3/24: Pizzas are now $8. Still, ridiculously cheap for a whole pie. $7 for a 13 inch tasty pie? Fresh tomatoes šŸ… in the sauce? Any and all toppings, same price? Ok! Green Pepper šŸ«‘'n Onion šŸ§…. Please and thank you. Sauce is sweet. Pizza is great. Crust is thin, chewy. Sicilian style slices. Price can't be beat. 30 mins from order to pickup. This is my new fav! P.S. Knock. Doorbell's out. Updated 1/19/24 Total Visits: 4 Reccos: Plain, Green Pepper and Onion.

The sauce is so sweet. I know a lot of folks in Pennsylvania love sweet tomato sauces to cut the acidity, but I am not a fan. The toppings are pretty good. The crust is not crisp and crunchy, it's more like a pan pizza. Kind people, good service!

The pizza is great! The lady is super nice! The cost is cheaper than a frozen pizza! Cannot recommend more!

This place has all of the lore attached to easily be one of the top 3 pizza places in Pittsburgh. I’m going to be 38 and only found out about this place a few months ago. I cannot believe this has remained a secret to me for this long. You call to order and they answer with ā€œHello!ā€ This is due in part to another reason why the lore parallels the pizza, and as I’ll explain. Orders usually take between 35 min-1 hour. I ask you to look at the picture of the place in Google Maps. It is an actual HOUSE on a ONE WAY STREET! You go to a screen door, ring the buzzer and one of Mary Jo’s family members ask your name. This place is 80 years old which makes you wonder if this place has been grandfathered in to the area. I had to wait 3 cars deep a few weeks back. I was hoping I wasn’t blocking anyone but they were all waiting for pizza. Find a pizza that’s this good, for the price they are. You can’t! I’d say the sauce and crust combination is untouched in the Valley. It’s terrible that chains try to sell you on good pizza when it’s mediocre, at best. Yes I’m talking about the place near Sheetz and Speedway on 130 & Mosside. We recently paid $30.00+ for two pizzas, roughly the same size, that pale in comparison to Mary Jo’s.

There are probably things I am forgetting to mention but I will argue with anyone, anyway about pizza in the Mon Valley and surrounding areas. I have been robbed of decades of great pizza from this place. I’m sure I will make up for it in the coming months.

This place reminds me of a pizza shop in Wilkes-Barre named Angelo’s, which I consider the best pizza in the state of...

This pizza is one of the best pie pizzas that I ever had. I am from Steubenville Ohio so I get to enjoy that really good Square pizza with cold cheese on top weekly, but this place is definitely a hidden šŸ’Ž. That is half of the reason why I enjoyed it so much. The fact that it's a house on a one way street slanging za out of the basement is so nostalgic. I honestly drove by and parked up the street wondering if it was even a real pizza joint. I stepped out of the truck and could smell the pizza from a block up. I walked down and was greeted by an extremely nice lady and was informed she was sold out for the day so I placed an order for the next day to take it home to the family after work. I finished my shift the next day and went and picked up 2 pizzas one regular and one with only cheese. Drove them over an hour back home and the 7yo and her mom absolutely loved it. Prices were great, $7 a pie no matter how many toppings. We will be...

I’ve been eating this pizza since I was young kid. It has undergone virtually no changes over several decades. It will be forever my favorite food until the day I die (unless the recipe changes). It’s a sweet sauce, the dough composition is very unique, and the cheese has a secret taste and density to it. The single size (medium-ish) pizza is all they sell but toppings do not cost extra. I used to only eat plain because it’s almost too good to put toppings on. It’s inexpensive ($8), pick up only, it’s hidden in a residential basement, and hours of operation are limited. I eat a lot of pizza, many different pizzas, and none enhance my mood more...
