Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I took my iphone there after I dropped it in water , mind you after I dropped it in the water i was still able to use the screen and was able to hear my calls even though the damage made it very hard for people to hear me on my calls, it still worked poorly for a bit. The screen eventually went black and I couldnt use it at this time, but noted that the home button also worked even after the screen wènt black (i could feel the button could be pressed and the vibration when i pressed it) . my first issue, they said it would be an hour to fix when i had called prior to bringing it in. Once I dropped it off they said it probably wouldnt be done until noon the next day. It didnt end up being done until 4pm the next day. Before i picked it up i called and the gentleman fixing my phone told me that the phone was WORKING FINE after the "dehydration process" and that they were replacing the screen. They mentioned the only thing that couldnt be fixed was my home button (more than likely because they put a cheap screen on the phone) so he adjusted my settings so the button would just show up on my screen. I wasnt happy about that but I accepted it. I went to pick up my phone. Paid for it. Tested it before I got out the parking lot and no one could hear me on my phone calls. I take it back & they tell me that they tested it and that it was noted in my file that volume on calls was an issue . WELL YOU DIDNT FINISH FIXING THE PHONE THEN DID YOU?! I suppose the guy at the front desk was too busy trying to sell me stuff I didnt need that he failed to mention they didnt fix my phone completely . pretty silly not to mention that since its one of the main reasons people have phones, to make calls. Along with them not fixing my home button and taking so long to partially fix my phone THIS WAS STRIKE 3. They apologized for not mentioning it and said if I wanted the volume issue fixed it would be another day and $84. I told them I may as well just buy a new one & they told me they would refund me but not before they took off the cheap screen they put on. I was so angry that was the best they could offer was to waste my time and refund me & be petty enough to take the screen off while I was standing there but that Is what happened and it took about 15 minutes for them to put my old screen back on. More wasted time and made me wonder why I had to wait so long , even with dehydrating it shouldnt have taken so long to get it fixed in my opinion but what do I know? So they send me home with wasted time and a still broken phone. When I get home I notice instead of refunding me they charged my card again. The manager did end up offering me a cash refund so I didn't have to wait for it so I had to drive back up there to get it. But the whole experience was just ghetto and for as many mistakes they made. It wouldn't have killed them to just leave the screen on my still broken phone and refunded me my money just for wasting so much of my time. But they wanted to be petty so im leaving this review . im only giving two stars because the manager offered the cash refund so I didn't have to wait for them to fix their millionth mistake of double charging me. I wouldn't recommend this place and usually go to CCIS in monroeville. I never had an issue but was looking for a better price . you get what you pay for and the hassle wasn't worth saving...
Read moreWorst experience I've had had in my life. I went three times to repair my re-furbished google pixel, that I received as a replacement for my previous phone from the google store. The issue for the device is that it will NOT turn on or charge.
The first time, the gentlemen was very nice and explained to me, that they couldn't make repairs to the device without google authorizing it/being eligible to the repair program and advise me to reach out to google. After reaching out to them, google referred me back to one of their authorize facilities, which was again the place I originally went to. There, a different gentlemen examined the device, asked for the IMEI (which I did not know what it was) and I only gave the serial number from my original purchased device, he could not make the repair only because the IMEI did not match AND the sim card tray did not contain such numbers. He advised me to reach out to google. After talking to the support team, I finally managed to get the right number and went back and only after seen me again and seeing the device, he flat out refused to repair the device, without even checking the IMEI and kept repeating "I refuse to do the repair" through out the time I was there and lied to my face saying I had provided multiple IMEIs, multiple time. I even tried to talk to the manager to see if they could help me and yet again the same gentlemen flat out said NO. Not even after asking him the reason why I was being refuse, he kept repeating the same phrase. I only managed to get, "I suspect this could be fraud" AFTER I was by the door and asked him to at least to give me a reason.
Now, I understand he is in his right to refuse service, but repeating the same phrase and not give a proper reason is not costumer service. This is a very frustrating matter, since like most, a lot of my work depends on or is the phone.
(A little update; just learned repaired/refurbished google pixel's sim trays may be changed by google to one that has no IMEI or other...
Read moreWorst experience I've had at any business, perhaps in my entire life. Went in for a screen repair, and the back part of the phone kept popping out. Okay, sure, stuff happens. I come in, and they put it back on under warranty! On the car ride home, or right when I get home, it pops back out. I take it back, and they tape it back on. This song and dance happens five times. 30 minutes of driving each time. The last time, the tape pops back off, I call the store, and the manager has some choice words for me. In such an immature way it almost seems satirical, the manager hops on the phone, tells me I am screwing with the phone myself, and hangs up on me.
I end up calling corporate and getting with the District Manager and they sent me to the store on Liberty Ave, where more competent and respectful people put the back glass on properly.
This store is insanity. Do not come, I'm begging you. I know you don't want to send your phone into the manufacturer, and I know you want your phone fixed as soon as possible, but PLEASE send it somewhere else! Anywhere but here! It's a living nightmare!
(EDIT AFTER REPLY FROM OWNER): The owner claims I got a refund, and this is not true. I never received any refund, money, or other consolation or compensation for this event. I was only instructed to go to a different store, and the tech there found the actual issue as to why the back was coming off. This response is diabolical, accusatory, and...
