Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Wilkins Township

05/30/2020 closed. Save your trip this weekend. I just asked a guy, he was moving some stuff out of the restaurant, that they will reopen on Monday, 06/01/2020. By the way, they messed up my order multiple times. I love dark meats. I never got any problem to get all dark meats from Popeyes restaurants in Maryland, New Jersey, and central PA. Oh! There was one time I also got all dark meats when I travel between Michigan and Pennsylvania. I don’t know why only this one seems always have some strange excuses mess up the order. And 90% of times they are not willing to fix the mistakes. There were few times they made my order correctly, I tip them 10 dollars. Oh! I remember there were two times I was too happy they made it right so I tip them 20 dollars. I thought, after those times and every time I explained because they fixed the order or they got the order directly correct, they will improve and be more careful to fulfill the order..... nope~ they just don’t care!¯(ツ)/¯

2020/11/14 As usual, they got highly chance to mess up the order. I know my English is bad, so I give up saying “dark meat”. I start to keep saying “4 chicken legs and 4 chicken thighs, please~”. I feel thighs, my bad English, could confuse people with sides. I just want chicken legs and thighs, nothing else. Again they mess up and always can come up with strange excuses. Last year saying “13 pics is special deal so...”, “today we didn’t order dark meat order from the HQ so...” O_0... today they come up with “oh! The 8 pics order is special deal so I cannot give you 4 pics legs and 4 pics thighs...” When I was ordering I said “4 pics legs and 4 pics thighs” I don’t care how you put the order into the computer and I am so will to pay higher price to just get what I like. All dark meats please. Finally a senior stuff showed up and met with me in the front door( outside ^_^), she listened and told me actually she sometimes did filled up my all dark order in the past few months. ❤️😂 she said she is going to give me 8 pics dark meat today. I’m very happy but I stopped her and told her that I just want my missing 2 pics of dark meats. I don’t care it’s legs or thighs. And tip her 20 dollars for the kindness of her and she is listening and willing to fix the problem. I can tell you her name if this company HQ is watching.

PS. This kind of stupid dark meats no dark meats problems never happened when I was in Maryland. I went to a Popeyes close to UMBC a lot! A lot! My friends can smell Fried chicken when I am in the library. 😂 Don’t know what’s wrong with this Popeyes. Maybe my English level just dropped 50% by...

The commercials for the "Amazing Fish Sandwich" were relentless so I gave in got 8n the car to get the sandwich. This location in my honest opinion never seems like someone is in charge. So we get there and the drive thru line is ridiculously long, we stayed because we were determined to taste the fish sandwich. After sitting in the car for nearly 25 minutes, we get up to place our order to find out that the drive thru speakers are not working. There is also a sign on the drive thru board that the says the lobby is open, but it is dark and doesn't seem as though it was open. So we sit there because we are already committed. We get up to the window to place our order, THEY HAVE NO FISH. Again, where is the person who is in charge. The young men at the drive thru thought it hysterical that we were trying ordering the fish sandwich, they continued laughing. Do you have fish or not, nope and according to the young man at the drive thru, no Fish sandwiches, until who know when.

At this point they closed the drive thru window. No offer of perhaps purchasing chicken or one of their other seafood selection. We stayed at the window to be greeted by, do you want something? Yes, 2 dine for 10 both sides Mac and cheese. Well that was another joke because as soon as we said macaroni and cheese, they started laughing again because there was no macaroni and cheese.

Listen, you sold out of fish, you sold out of Mac and Cheese, please spend some of that money toward training. The experience at the drive thru was unprofessional, at least. There appeared to be several people inside just standing around. Send one of them outside to put up signs that there is no fish or macaroni and cheese, or take the incentive because the drive thru speakers weren't work, stand at the speaker taking orders and running them inside. You have to come up with a better system. No matter how long the lines is, if you don't have the product or the staff to handle their jobs. If not, unfortunately, I think this location is headed for...

I've worked in food service, ALL the food was old and items were left out of my order. he absence of the ghost pepper chicken sandwich was never addressed to me, but instead was given a spicy chicken sandwich under the premise of "maybe he won't know the difference." All the chicken given was old dry pieces baking under the heat lamps, devoid of any moisture and with leather like exteriors. The tenders were akin to eating heated beef jerky. The biscuits were hard enough to strike with a meat tenderizer and have the biscuit be unaffected by the blunt force, maintaining shape. Old ship hardtack is the closest item I would compare to these biscuits. Ordered 5 sauces, got 4 with the 1 I got for myself being left absent, nothing said. The ONLY thing remotely close to ok was the mashed potatoes, and that point, if you mess up reconstituting powders, you shouldn't be in the food service industry at all. With 8 employees in the building, you think SOMEONE would be checking the quality of food. But no, because this is the habits of a restaurant hemorrhaging money, selling garbage old food to customers because they can't take the loss of food waste, and smiling pretending they did a good job. It feels like every Popeyes around me is run by the same management group now and they have driven the quality of the food into the ground. I remember waiting in line for 30 minutes at this location 7 years ago just to get some good chicken. Now it's all garbage, this one and the one in North Versailles. I am never eating at another Popeyes in Pennsylvania, I have no faith in...
