Sr. Habanero — Restaurant in Williamston

My wife and I have eaten here probably about ten times in the past 12 months (dine in dinners only). We like the food and service, as we have never had a bad experience as some others have unfortunately mentioned. We occasionally come in on Margarita Monday (very nice). We have been on Wednesdays when they had a DJ (imho- it’s a tad bit small for the music) but most everyone seemed to enjoy. We started coming here over the other local choice simply because of the crowds (both have been very good in their food and service). The atmosphere inside Sr Habenero is clean, bright, small, and a little on the bland side, not so much that you don’t know what style food they will serve (some Mexican restaurants can be WAY over the top). Unfortunately, our visit to Senior Habaneros was far from enjoyable. From the start, our server struggled with communication, which led to a series of mistakes throughout the meal. We were first brought the wrong drinks, followed by incorrect meals—not once, but twice. Even after trying to correct the order, the replacements were still wrong. To make matters worse, we ended up paying over $50 for two kids' meals and one adult meal, which felt excessive given the quality of service and the errors. It’s possible we were just the unlucky table that day, but nothing about the experience felt smooth or welcoming. We came to this restaurant as a group of six plus a baby..first we had to ask twice for 2 baskets of chips for all of us..second we got our food..i had a Hawaiian chk plate it was supposed to have ham in it...the ham was bologna😲...i asked for tortillas with mine..they finally brought them once my meal was almost finished ...i did not eat the bologna...they had no food for the baby..chk tenders on the menu but they were out..asked for to go drinks.there was nothn to drink in our cups on the table so they brought us empty to go cups with no drinks.on top of that they got mad when we did ask for it..got ready to pay and it took 10 minutes cuz they didnt know what we all had ...so we ended up paying twice for 2 items...the food was not...
