Taco John's — Restaurant in Williston

This place has been steadily going downhill for the past few months here. I really like tacos, and since it's the only fast food taco place in town, I stuck with it and give them several tries. Each time was worse than the one before. Let's start by saying that the people that work there are a bunch of pothead teenagers. They don't care one lick about customer service and every time I went through in the evening when they had their 8-midnight taco specials, the portions were ridiculously small and the kids were always laughing and snickering and carrying on when I got to the window. I decided to give it a rest for a while. It had probably been a good two months, so I decided to give it a shot tonight....wow......I decided to go inside. It's a ghost town there. Apparently the rest of Williston is as tired of that place as I am. There were two teenage girls sitting by the window laughing and carrying on with an employee who was "cleaning" the lobby. I stood at the register for a couple minutes waiting for someone to appear that might be interested in taking my order. Finally I saw a couple of teenage boys appear in front of me. They were laughing and horseplaying around and didn't even seem slightly interested in helping me. They both made eye contact with me for a brief second and then continued laughing and carrying on.....I walked out. I'm done with Taco John's. Time to bring in some adults to...

I've visited this location fairly frequently. Normally the inside of the store seems a bit dirty and the food is cold, but I still loved Taco John's. That was untill today when I pulled up in the drive through at 9pm and proceeded to order my usual order. The order is fairly simple with an easy substitution, I've ordered it for years. When I was finished with my order I was asked to repeat my order. I did this only to hear that this location doesn't do substitutions. Now being from the town and having worked here I know that's a lie. So I tell her exactly what to do to make this substitution and her exact words were "We may do that here but I'm not going to take this order" so I drove away and went to MCDONALD's honestly better food at a cheaper price.

I will never eat here again, I recommend anyone on the fence do the same...

This restaurant is a local favorite. They offer west-mex cuisine which is a lot like tex-mex but toned down a few notches. They recently started offering steak which is always delicious no matter where you get it. The combination meals here come with an average size drink that fits any cup holder with ease. The starch they offer are potato oles. A potato ole is a crispy crown with a healthy dash of proprietary seasoning blend. They offer much better produce than you think they should. It's a great value for your money.
